Certified Personal Trainer
Hello,
I am planning to do a certified personal training course, but i m very much confused as there r so many organizations which r offering many courses.
I have shortlisted some of them -
# ACE (American Council of Exercise)
# ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association)
# AFPA (American Fitness Professional Associates)
AFPA is top on my list, coz they have got (acc to my survey) most Accredition frm many National & International organizations.
They have set high standards to paas the test (90%) and the prices of the Courses are also not too high.
Plz help me by giving ur opinion, as which is the most recognized or best organization.

of those, i would opt for ISSA or ACE.
But, if i were you i would look into NASM or ACSM. I prefer ACSM, but others would argue.
Just because your certified though it wont garauntee you a paycheck. Personal Training (successfully) is a lot more than just a peice of paper. Making money involves a lot of sales (selling yourself and knowledge).
It's a great job though, good luck

NASM & ACSM offer courses outside US, but there are no test centres available in INDIA & the in NASM the candidates outside US (as mentioned by NASM)will always be 2nd grade type.
Thanks for the opinion
