Federations -- which are you fav and why?
Just wondering as I sit here and plan out my 'attack plan' for 2008 and how I need to change/improve my physique over the winter...
Which federation do you love and why?

Ditto, I competed NPC and now I am in the IFBB. They have the most sponsors and athletes. I also think they have the toughest competition! There is always the chatter about natural vs "enhanced" but even though I am a lifetime natural, I don't care if a competitor is or isn't...I wanna go up against the best no matter what And I have not been disadvantaged at all by being natural in the NPC (or IFBB )

the IDFA treats thier athletes awsome...not a big comp like the others that are discussed, but...it was an awsome experience for me!

That depends more on the promoters of the particular show you're doing. The NPC shows in NY hosted by Bev Francis and Steve Weinberger are great.

I've done NGA, NPC, and Fitness/Bikini America....I think the way you are treated as an athlete depends on the promoters of the show. I've had both good and bad experiences. I think what makes or breaks the "experience" for me is the attitude of the girls backstage. I have ALWAYS had great experiences in FAP, it was always like a big, happy family. It's been 50/50 with NGA and NPC. Some shows are better because the other competitors are friendlier, and some aren't. As far as freebies for doing a show...the "fullest" bag was from the 2006 NPC USA's. The 2007 NPC Emerald Cup also had a great goodie bag!
Hope this helps!!

IMO, WNBF is the best in the Natty orgs. They have Best Body which is more model like comp and the Figure on the am and pro level is stiff competition. The org treats you like family, the competitors are supportive and kind and we have plenty of sponsorship and modeling ops. I have been in several NB&F mags, Oxygen, Muscle and Fitness Her's and a few other fitness mags and I am fully sponsored my Metabolix Nutrition as well as 3 other WNBF pros.

I do Ms.Bikini America, MWT Model America, and FAME Fitness Model. I was told I"m too "scrawny" for NPC... LOL. Thats so funny because Miss Hawaiian Tropic judges think I'm too muscular. Sometimes it sucks to be in-between.

I hear you! I have the same problem -- I do not want to cross to the NPC actually, as much as I think the women are gorgeous, I like having more curves and find that for me to get that lean I look too lean....yet I do not want to add that much more muscle, other than to balance out my body....yet when I do bikini searches I am told to be carfeul not to look too muscular...
Oh well, perhaps I will find that perfect balance next year...I actually won my class and overall at FAP this fall so maybe that's where I should focus on.

shows...
Hey babygirl )
You know I'm a FAME girl, lol
As far as the treatment I've received, sponsorship, mags, etc...
I'm very happy with them...
They've helped me with numerous sponsorship offers and magazine editorials...
Girl, you are hott to death... it's only a matter of time before someone scoops you up... mark my words on that!
I've judged you in a few shows and I can tell you that you are going to do very well for yourself ))
xoxo

We're the new kid in town, but our focus is primarily on educating and finding work where possible for fitness models, www.AmericasFittestModel.com. Our moto is "Get in Shape. Get Discovered. Get Work!" That's assuming the goal of the fit models are to get work. Sometimes it is only to compete. More information available in 2 weeks. The parent site is being updated.

I have competed in one FAME show in 2003 ( their first year) but I haven't done a show since due to personal conflicts. I want to make 2008 the year of my "comeback" so to speak...and with my build/look, I am leaning towards the FAP. I will do more research before I make a final decisions but it seems to fit my body style and expectations much better. I don't seem to be able to aquire the upper body mass that I see NPC competitors carry. And my teen years were filled with general beauty pageants...so I think I would do better in the Bikini America circuit.

I did my first show in September with the OCB and loved it. It was my first one and could have used a few more months of training before that show, but I was never treated like I shouldn't be there. I look forward to doing another show with the this coming September as well.
