    knee issue need new routine

My physical therapist said i could continue working legs with light weight but they still hurt the day afterwards so im going to take several weeks off from working legs to give my knees more rest. But i need a new routine since im doing an upper/lower split and i would like to go to the gym more than twice a week. Would something like mon-chest/tri tues-back/bi wed-shoulders thurs-rest fri-repeat? Just trying to maintain frequency close to my upper/lower split.

    Have you tried myofascial release?

I.e. using a foam roller or a tennis ball on various leg muscles. If the issue is with your quads, then you should probably focus your attention there. But you should also hit the vastus medialis and vastus lateralis too. Consider self applied trigger point therapy for those muscles too.

I am also having knee pain. I am giving my knees some rest and the pain is slowly going away. It seems the more circulation there is to my legs, the less pain I feel. My right quad is considerably smaller than my left and when I flex my right knee, I can feel some tightness a sometimes some pain. is it a muscle imbalance, lack of flexibility or maybe a minor knee injury?

    Sorry for the thread hijack
