Only getting clear signs of interest from 'ugly-average' girls?

Guys, serious question. Believe me, I'm not full of myself or anything, but this let me start doubting about myself a bit.

I am 19 years old, and have multiple female friends who ALL rated me between 7.5-8.5 in terms of looks. These girls are 100% geniune when saying something like this. No doubt about it.

But the thing is, in real life... I only get strong signs of interest from ugly/average girls, with all respect. Never from the hot ones, or the 7/8 out of 10 girls. Girls that are 7 or above rarely show interest. When they do, its pretty subtle. Like they feel just low atttraction or something idk.

Always trying to dress well, smell good, maintaining good teeth and al that stuff btw.

Your friends might have taken it easy on you out of fear of hurting you. Girls do that. Either take what you can get or try more approaches in person rather than online. Takes out a lot of the competition

The only girls that have to put in effort to get are the ones that are not as good looking/below average.

As a result, the less attractive ones tend to be a little more upfront... It's specifically because they have less options. They make moves more often.
