The 2007 Olympia was just disgusting.

I've never felt like I wanted to puke after watching a competition, until the 2007 Olympia.

now I think these results aren't proper. 1981 was a true, obvious, and vulgar tragedy. 2007 and 1980 are/were arguable, but 1981 was so obviously ridiculous.

I think the 1980 Mr O, many would disagree as it is not recent, but i would love to see what would happen if the 1980 Mr O occured in this day and age, especially with the web.

Mentzer placed 5th when he had placed 2end the year b4 to Zane, yet Mentzer was in far better shape at the 80 than the 79.

Arnold had come back from a 5 year layoff from competing and wanted to teach Mentzer a lesson and with Arnolds influence, he did just that.

Still all the top athletes were very close and Mentzer should have been in the top 3 if not the winner.

PPL think Jay should have turned down 1st place need to look at what happened at the 80, Arnold knew a while in advace he would win and he would never have turned down first place, especially to someone who he quite childishly was out to "teach" a lesson to.

Yet many ppl believe Arnold to be the greatest champion ever, i think he is one of the greatest bb ever and he certainly did more for the sport than anyone, but his behaviour was childish at times, this detracts from his true greatness.

Franco was not at his best and had some gyno issues, yet he won.

IMO it was Platz's year.

Hard to say when there isn`t much pictures and videos from -80 and -81, but I think year -80 was pretty fair with Arnold winning, other placings I don`t know. As much Columbu had a powerful and awesome physique -81 was a lot more controversial regarding the winner than -80 in my opinion. This year was a real joke, but it`s hard to put them in order when I have just seen this year live.

Other: 72 Essen Germany, Sergio Olivia was in the best shape of his life and he was robbed by Arnold.

1980 was a joke too, Mentzer had the best physique.

As far as 2007, its not a huge stretch for Cutler maybe he wasnt the best on stage but he wasnt blown away either.

In 72, and 80 Olivia and Mentzer blew arnold away...

you guys wanna cry so bad about contests that took place 20 years ago? with certain competitors who arent even alive anymore? dont insult them by talking about how they should have won, or how great they were. the fact is thats the way it played out, you wanna keep crying go ahead you can do so, but why not have a little respect for yourselves and those who didnt win by just getting over it. 2007's olympia didnt pan out how i wanted either maybe, but you know what? theres absolutly nothing you can do, ronnies gone, jay won, victory will probably be next, and dennis wolf will do great things, big deal. you already know how its gonna go for the next 2 olympias probably. this sport, or rather this forum in a whole has become so infested with whining idiots im surprised i can put aside my patience to come here and get through 3 threads without wanting to shoot myself from feeling like im sourrounded by a bunch of meat heads who dont know anything but how to load a plate on a bar.

Imo 1981 was the biggest screwjob ever. Platz or Dickerson easily beat Columbo who had terrible legs and prolly the worst gyno fo any Mr Olympia winner.

I don't know anything about the 80's olympias...but this year sucked big time!! I think even Gustavo Badell had better physic than Jay....Victor, Dexter and Dennis got robbed....

Gustavo was in the best shape i ever saw him, i say he may have just edged Jay out, i think Jay Gutavo and Dex were all a close 3-5.
