Would you date a girl with a past?
Would you date a girl who has a troubled past of drugs, criminal record etc. if that is years in the past and she's good now? I'm very curious about this!

If shes clean now and has been for a few years, then I don't see why not. She's learned from her mistakes and as long as shes strong enough to stay clear from that path then I'd definetly give her a shot.

I try not to judge anyone for what they've done in their past. The only time you or I can take part in another persons life is NOW! What is done in the past and in the future all depends on the individual. If I feel strongly enough to be with this person then why judge them for what the HAVE done, or even for what I THINK they MIGHT do later? To me its more of a question of who they are trying to be now and why they want to be with me.

I wouldn't. Even if she supposedly "changed" the fact still remains that she already did all that bad stuff once, and nothing is stopping her from going back to it if she gets depressed enough or something like that.

If she looked like you, yes. However, if the past resurfaced, the turn-off of drugs and criminal activity would over power physical attraction. I would then have to dump her.

i wouldnt say my past is troubled but ive been arrested a few times for fighting and other dumb **** so i am basically more understanding when it comes to people getting in trouble

Some of you guys are definitley assuming worse than what really happened-no murder, no hardcore drug addiction.
Anyway I think a lot of you guys are pretty cool cause your so accepting of other people and their past.

It really deppends how you look at it..
If shes completly changed then yes i would most likely give it a chance.
However ive voted No because of past experience. Not that i dated one.. but fell for this girl strongly.. and ended getting rejected. It seemed that she couldnt fully let go of her old ways. She dates retarted ugly freaks and has had a past of drugs etc. She didnt seem to change enough..

It would depend on the nature of the past, I suppose. I can overlook quite a few things as I have not exactly lived the life of a puritan, so it would be more than slightly hypocritical for me to hold someone to a higher standard than I have maintained.
There are definitely some things that would be impossible for me to ignore/deal with, but this is very subjective.
