Running stairs, jumping ropes, boxing drills, 1 minute punching, 3 minute rounds, it'll all wear you down pretty quick.
Id do some HIIT cardio or something similar to work both your cardiovascular system as well as help you lose a little weight or it WILL be a struggle.
Just my 2c, not trying to discourage you but I'm a boxer, just telling you like it is.Let's remember the REAL reason to rep people.
WHEN THEY HELP YOU, GIVE REPS.

Start now. Ive seen guys come in the gym 45+ lbs overweight and lose a good 35 lbs in about 2 months. And thats with not changing their diet at all. Thats just coming to the gym and busting their ass 5 days a week. You just have to put forth 100% in the gym, and youll lose weight and improve your skills. Yes its going to be hard, yes youll be sore the morning after your workouts, but yes you will improve on many things in the process.

Boxing is an awesome way to lose weight
Hey my name is Samantha YES im a girl and i been boxing for about 6 years now i started when i was 12, Anyways i noticed when i started slacking on my eating habbits and fitness training boxing really got be back there it all depends what you do... boxing is Mostly about cardio which really helps u lose weight... example abs are everything you eat... so u want nice abs watch what u eat, do a sit ups.. AND CARDIO this will help big time if u box.... now boxing is not just hittin the bag... u have learn how to skip hahah and skip well....i hope im making sense to you... bottom line you will lose weight.. if u start boxing and tone ur upper body a lot......my coach would always push me to upgrade my road work, or bag work etc... which in the end i became really fit.. so if you start boxing i bet you any money that u will lose weight faster.. just when u always do cardio you are slimming out not really toneing so yes u are loseing the weight but you are not really gaining that much def so dont forget to add in ur weights hope i made some sense hahah later good luck
