    Lactic Acid burning fat?

I've read in a bb mag one time (yeah, great source right?) that the "burn" is a release of lactic acid to the muscle and that it burns up fat reallllly fast. Any proof of this? Or.. anything? Lol, I havent heard anything about this anytime before or after.

Dont know if lactic acids will help you burn fat, but doing a little cardio after weight lifting will flush the lactic acids away. I'd rather think the lactic acids would burn the muscles up if you dont get rid of it... But what do i know? I just post here

Lactic acid is a waste product which results from anaerobic glycolysis. However, the liver can convert it back to glucose by gluconeogenesis. A study (i read a while ago) found that lactic acid not only does not cause soreness, it may actually counteract fatigue. The study found that the loss of potassium is more likely the cause of fatigue.

Lactic acid has nothing to do with delayed on set muscle soreness (DOMS), the kind you feel 24–72 hours after a hard workout session. That soreness is due to a mechanical tearing of myofibrils during eccentric or lengthening contractions.

As we exercise pyruvate is formed
When insufficient oxygen is available to breakdown the pyruvate then lactate is produced
Lactate enters the surrounding muscle cells, tissue and blood
The muscle cells and tissues receiving the lactate either breakdown the lactate to fuel (ATP) for immediate use or use it in the creation of glycogen
The glycogen then remains in the cells until energy is required
65% of lactic acid is converted to carbon dioxide and water, 20% into glycogen, 10% into protein and 5% into glucose.
Basically, lactic acid burning your fat? IMO its nonsense.... The only muscle burning/fat burning that would take place would be due to glycogen in your body not being replenished. (catabolic stage?)

Please if i missed anything out or got anything wrong please don't hesitate to correct me!

C'mon guys this is the advanced teen bodybuilding section. No lactid acid build up will do nothing to speed up the burning of fat. Only taking in less calories than one uses will. Simple as that.

Lactic Acid is used when the cell cannot undergo resperation due to lack of oxygen. So no, it does not help with fat burning.

Cardio helps increase the amount of food you can eat, and maintain a caloric defecit

The only thing supplement wise worth taking for fatloss is either EC, or involves sticking a needle in your ass.
