    question about creatine...

I am just about done with my jug of creatine. before i go out and buy another one i was wondering if after so long of taking creatine should you take a break from it and then go back later. I have been taking it for about 2 months straight now....what is the correct cycle??

It isn't necessary to cycle creatine, but most get better results cycling it. So i say cycle.(For CEE atleast) go 1 month on and 1 week off then back on. Since you are finishing with your jug of mono, prob cycle off for week or 2 then get back on.

I've been using creatine mono for years without cycling it, i can't find a reason to cycle it as long as there is no evidence to suggest that my muscles won't be able to store the 5g/lb of muscle weight.

Some cycle it and i have heard every reason from "receptor degradation" (which is impossible since there is no such thing as a creatine receptor) to reduced natural production (which is not supported by the studies).

If there is a *transporter* degradation then you would see other side effects since the transporter used is not only used to transport creatine so that seems highly unlikely to me.

Creatine monohydrate works the same way CEE does, it's the SAME creatine stored in your muscles.

Creatine monohydrate can saturate your muscles to the point where they hold 5g/lb of muscle weight, you're not going to get more creatine in there no matter WHAT form of creatine you use.

IOW, if creatine monohydrate works for you and you don't have GI issues with it then CEE will do the same thing for more money.

Sorry not much of a creatine guy, but what is CEE?? What's so different about it (compared to mono, or micronized creatine)??

It's creatine bound to an ethyl ester, there are loads of threads on it, do a search.
