hummus is a middle eastern dip (from lebanon) it consists of chick peas, tahini (which is a sesame seed paste) , garlic and abit of salt. It is a good source of essential fats and oils, a pretty good source of protein for a sauce/dip also, i make it myself and sprinkle some chilli powder on it, it tastes great with any kind of meat or just on its own with some brown lebanese bread

Hummus is definitely safe for a cut.
If you want to make it as healthy, tasty, & cheap as possible make it yourself!
Here's how to do it:
-1 cup (14-16 oz) chick peas---> Rinse thoroughly in water & try removing soft shells from the outside to improve texture.
-1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (roughly 1 lemon)
-1/4 Tahini sauce
-1/4 water
-1 clove garlic
-Olive oil to preferred texture/taste (1/3 cup for me)
-Cumin to taste
-Salt and Pepper to taste
optional:
-smoked paprika
-pine nuts
-roasted red peppers

Hummus is great! Making your own is even better since you can control the ingredients. Chickpeas, tahini, a little olive oil, some lemon juice and chili flakes is my favorite way. It has good fats and fiber in addition to carbs and a bit of protein. I like it with my vegetables or on baked chicken.

Hummus is a great way to help make raw veggies more tolerable.
I have a whole bowl full of raw veggies with me right now, eating with 200cal worth of hummus. The raw veggies and fat from the hummus do wonders for satiety with relatively few calories. < 400** KNEE DRAGGERS UNITE **
