Hey, this just in ... you need to focus on your upper pecs!!!
Yeah, that was the message I got one day from .... you know, one of those voices in my head...
I had been watching several BB videos on line and it seemed like all the guys where doing incline dumbbell work at a much steeper angle then I normally use (normally use about a 40 degree, sometimes less), these guys where usign 55 - 65. Then I saw several guys using multi angle where they would drop from say a 65 to 55 to 45 to 35. I was always worried that I was just hitting my shoulders going too steep.
Well, since then I have started adding multi angel incline dumbbell presses and I love them.
The exercsise is this:
Start with an incline bench and set it up on the number 4 or 5 position, pick one weight and start pressing for 6 - 10 reps. Drop one notch after each set for 4 sets. Keep your shoulders back to isolate the chest and do not lock out at the top.
I feel this exercise has really helped to target my upper chest and fill in that front delt/upper pec region (still have a ways to go but it is improving). My favorite exercise is plain old incline barbbell presses but after that I like to get creative on hitting the chest.
Anybody else ever tried multi angle dumbbell presses or have any other good upper chest exercises to share? I am always looking for tips. Thanks. - Steve

I do that... Maybe not changing the angle for each set, but I almost always use a different angle each workout... Always change it up...

that is not a bad idea, just trying a new angle every workout....
to hit the upper chest on cable crossovers, are you suppose to pull from the bottom or top? I am think it is the bottom but I have never tried them, I see alot of guys doing cable crossovers from many different angles.

I don't do cable crossovers... I do montierth (or atrainer) cable flys...
Do a search on "atrainer flies", many people on here swear by them... I think they are great chest builders...

cable flys, hmmm, that might be a good one to add to the mix. I never liked cable crossovers, just thinking about it, I can see how a cable flys would give you that hard contraction of say a crossover but with better isolation of just the chest. I will have to look into that one.

There is a good thing in the book of arnold about moving through all the angles like that in a workout.
I think in general the steeper the bench the more you bring your delts into the press.
