    Primary Fuel During Endurance Exercise

What is the body's primary fuel for endurance exercise? I know that muscle glycogen is used for short, intense bouts of muscular movement, but what about endurance. Does your body utilize fatty acids as a primary fuel or liver glycogen?

x2 ^^^ you do use more Intramuscular Triglyceride stores of fat during endurance exercise, up to about 60% of your VO2 max. Hence why runners need a little bit of fat to keep them going during ultramarathons etc.
