ive been cutting now for about 3 weeks, and i try to decrease my calories a little bit each week. But when i do i get soo hungry, my stomach growls like none other and i feel like im depriving myself from food. Do i really need to be hungry like that when im cutting? Usually i feel like this after i lift the night b4 to maintain my muscle mass, i think it might be because my body is trying to gain muscle but i wont eat enough to do it. if someone could help thad be great.

Works for me
When I get really hungry (have cut calories too for my contest diet), i either chew on a piece of sugar-free gum or drink a mug of hot tea. staying busy also helps. when i'm not on contest diet though, if I'm really hungry I eat because I see it as my body telling me it wants to grow. so i feed it protein (a low or no fat shake with a small amount of sodium and carbs) and that does the trick. fill up on veggies too. raw broccoli usually takes away those pangs for me for some reason. fiber i guess? anywho, good luck!
I may not always be right, but I am never wrong.

Are you eating the right foods, enough foods, and 6 meals spaced evenly through the day? This is vital.
I just recently started my new cutting diet and yesterday I couldn't even finish my daily calories. Stuff like oatmeal is very filling and I find a Tbsp of healthy fats (I take Udo's Choice 3-6-9 oils) really fills you up. Also vegetables are extremely fillings because there's not much calories as compared to volume.
Also make sure you're eating enough calories, I believe you should never go under 9x your body weight, and that's under extreme circumstances. You should be able to do 12x your body weight and still lose with cardio and weight lifting.History: Mar, 2001: 135lbs @ ~14% | Nov, 2004: 245lbs @ ~40% | Dec, 2006: 168lbs @ 5.5%ish | Nov, 2008: 177lbs @ 5.5%ish | Dec, 2016: 179lbs

mmmm Water
^^^
I do agree, If I have some late night hunger pains...I slam back 2-3 glasses of water and it usually does the job until I need to eat breakfast the next morning.

Here's some tip:
Eat egg whites, 50ml has like 25 cals, at night, I eat about 250ml of egg white with some onions in it and its quite filling. Only 125 cals too.
Eat celeries, very low in calories, 1 strip of 4g is 0.6 in cals... so you can eat quite a lot... just add some low carb and fat salad dressing or eat with non fat cottage cheese, perfect night snack.IG: @tuanlifts
