i was reading about this sophomore in high school gymnast. he doesnt lift weights, just does gymnastics and bench pressed 295 at a bodyweight of 144. that is freakin amazing for someone who doesnt lift and just does their sport. his legs are obviosly weak and scrawny for the sport though.

to be honest most boxers stay away from the weights coz it stiffens u up. They keep to push ups, pull ups etc. For example forgot his name there british boxer not a big name but he is only a low weight but instead of having speed as they usually do he is ripped to hell and it has slowed him down. I don't even think Tyson or lewis is tonned just bulk with shape.

lennox and mike have normal man muscle tone and cannot compare to competitive bbbers
but they both have enviable physiques anyway

There's nothing "normal" about those guys. They are in fantastic athletic condition. The "typical" man muscle I see these days isn't what ya generally see here on the boards, more often then not some guy pumping 6 cups of coffee into himself and a lunch break at macdonalds.

Bruno had the best physique in my oppinion, but (professional) boxers are ripped because each session they do:
12 * 3 mins skipping
12*3 mins heavy bag
+ warm up run
+ dynamic tenison exercises
+ sparring
+ pads
+ speed ballMotivation is sometimes a greater asset than power

someone asked earlier about gymnastics
up until recently i instructed and trained in gymnastics. honestly, there arent actually any weights involved, just bodyweight exercies andpracticing moves that recquire loadsa strength
