    Boxers...ripped as HELL!

    How do they train and/or eat? Most are extremely ripped and well in shape.

    Pro boxers have great diets

    exercise regulary so hardly no fat ( running in morning, boxing training, sparing, circut training, weights )

    when they do weights they do loads of reps sometimes they do heavy weights for strength.

    There so ripped cause they are not realy big just tonned even heavyweights are not big, most heavyweights biceps are 16 inch just that the camera makes them look huge in life they anit as big as they look on tv. Example Tyson in prime had 43 inch chest most of you teenages have that, but it looks bigger on tv.

    Gymnasts have great bodies they are well ripped and have a good size obvious not a bb size but they are still very STRONG and muscly.

    I have been watching the common wealth games and the gymnastics Biceips, triceps, shoulders are great esepically when on the rings. Any one in here a gymnast can u please tell me how u guys get quite a size on ur biceps cause it would appear u guys would have to over train to get good.

    Also how cum short sprinters are really ripped and have quite big muslces????

    yeah.....that's why the pros only fight once every 6-8 months. So they can bulk for awhile to work on the power of their punches.....then start cutting (all through diet.....similar training) and try to maintain their power and increase footspeed. Only the guys that fight regularly (usually amateurs) don't have time to go through any bulking period because of weight-class issues.

    Unfortunately alot of boxers train dumb too. But the best way to be a better boxer is to spar and fight more.

    Boxers do have awesome bodies. I think it's because they have to train for strength and also train for endurance. I think the boxer with the nicest physique that I want is Roy Jones Jr. That guy is perfectly ripped and proportioned. I think Lennox was in much better shape than mike tyson for their fight. Not too mention tyson took a pay day to get his ass kicked.

    I agree.....Roy Jones Jr. has an awesome physique. Also, his unique fighting style is very entertaining to watch. (chin up, hand half extended) He kicks some serious ass in the ring and I'm glad I'm alive at the time I am to admire his skills. His physique has yet to be matched by anyone in his weightclass.

    Also agree about Tyson taking a payday for a whoppin' from the Black Brit.

    That's one ****ing thick neck for his size. I'm surprised at the calf size you sure that's right? On TV he looks to have really small calves.

    Tyson is also wearing baggy black trunks in every fight. That really slims down his true size on TV. Lennox's measurements are much larger then his......and 17" calves are only a dime a dozen in the athletic realm. Prolly around average size calves for an NFL Linebacker. 17" calves at his bf % is very impressive.

    I just thought I would share this since we are on the subject. I used to box (did it for a bit less than a year) and it was hell. My god it was tough, but nevertheless fun. My god I was good, but I can't stand weighing as little as they told me to. They wanted me to be at 147 pounds. Although it would have gave the a shot at knocking out Oscar De la Hoya...lol...but it made me feel awfull. It made me feel so weak, and just plain sick. I decided to quit and give baseball a shot. Were I would not be put in a scale everyday and given water pills. Boxing is fun and I spar a round here and there, but just for fun.

    mike tyson's prime stats were

    Neck= 19 3.4 inch
    Bicep= 16 inch
    forearm= 14
    chest=43 expand= 45
    waist = 34
    thigh= 26

    George Forman was a monster tho. He had an 48 inch chest and 18 inch biceps

    I think David Tua has a great body, am not sure what he looks like now but when he was younger he was a monster.

    Gymnasts are strong, and their strength is "more practical" as some people call it. Not a lot of pro bodybuilders can do more than 20 pull-ups at their 300 pound frame.

    Boxers are ripped, you wanna know why? Try taking up boxing and you'll see within the first 30 minutes. Cardio, cardio, cardio. Train, train, train. They eat lean and exercise.

    A lot of the great boxers aren't huge like bodybuilders. They're cut and lean, fat slows you down. Too much muscle slows you down. Anyone in competitive combat sports need a good proportion and the proportion will vary from sport to sport. If you look at Ali, he was pretty cut yet wasn't big enough to make him unable to dance around the guy in the ring.
