Incline leg press lower/mid back injury

Yesterday I was doing the incline leg presses, and after I added two more plates, I used a lot of force to get the weight up. When I got up, my upper-lower back hurt, a vertebrae or two below mid back. Actually, it didnt HURT, it just felt like something was different. I could only feel it if I bent over or some other movements like that.

Today when I woke up, the same spot was stiff for a little, but it still didnt hurt, it felt as if it was a little tender.

Anyone else had something like this happen? I am thinking I was pushing my back into the back pad to much and maybe compressed my back a little too much? Thanks for any advice.
