So better change the title to: France Warns Allegedly Nuclear Iran Could Mean War.
Or: France's populist right-wing government talks tough and pretends to be a mighty Empire.

Since they're > 5 years away from getting a nuke, why are we imposing sanctions and military action now? In Iraq the call was WMDs, WMDs, they have WMDs! Now the call to war is "they're trying to get WMDs and might have them in half a decade!" It's a much weaker call and I fail to see that as the real reason for war.
As for France: Why did the French soldiers have sunburned armpits?

That's not exactly true. I watched the show where this guy (Bernard Kouchner, aka the french doctor) said it.
He didn't say that France will "start" a war against Iran, he said that, in his opinion there's a lots of chance that a war will happen, maybe he was thinking about the US ?

I don't see why not. I think war should be a last resort, used when essential. A single year gives us plenty of time to pound them into submission and strip their nuclear program from their cold dead hands. Why do it 5+ years in advance?Originally Posted by 5x10
