i've heard many people say you should only train each muscle group 1 time/week, and i've heard others say you can do it multiple times. what do you guys say? i guess it may depend on how may different exercises and how many sets are done with each muscle? here's my workout:
mon: chest: bench (4 sets), incline bench (3 sets), flyes (3 sets)
back: pullups, one-arm rows (4 sets), rev. pull downs (3
sets), cable rows (3 sets)
tues. cardio
wed: legs: squats (5 sets), leg extension (4 sets), Seated
leg curl (4 sets), lying leg curl (4 sets), calf raises (4 sets),
abs (multiple exercises)
thurs: cardio
fri: shoulders: overhead dumbell press (4 sets) front raises
(3 sets), side raises (3 sets)
tris: dumbell lying ext. (5 sets), close grip bench (3 sets),
tricep pushdown (3 sets)
bis: dumbell curls (5 sets), hammer curls (3 sets), preacher
curls (3 sets)
sat: cardio
sun: off
so what do you think? once or twice a week? also, please feel free to critique the workout (i.e.-should i add more exercises?) thanks!
