The Rock wants to lay the smackdown one last time
Source: Wrestling Observer
Dave Meltzer reports that The Rock has agreed to work a match at WrestleMania 24, only if WWE can provide him a high profile match and put him over. Shawn Michaels's return is being rushed for this purpose. It's believed he will turn heel in order to feud with Rock in what The Rock wants to be his sendoff from wrestling. The possibility of Michaels walking into WrestleMania as WWE Champion has also been mentioned, though nothing concrete has come of it. WrestleMania 24 will take place in The Rock's home state of Florida.
As with all these internet reports, take it with a grain of salt. As there has been other reports of The Rock saying is is done for good. But as always, 'anything can happen the dubya dubya e'.
I'd mark out like a little school girl if his music just hit out of no where on RAW early next year or something.

The Rock has said in the past that HBK wasn't a big enough star to have a return match against.

I thought those two did not like eachother and would not want to work a match together..
Can't remember exactly but was something like that. Anyway, doubt it's true.

I don't see this happening... But if it does, then The Rock is a hypocrit.

The majority of WWE fans over the age of 21 would love this. Although, I doubt Vince would want his top draw job to a blast from the past. Personally, I would like to see an Orton vs Rock match. The possibilities are huge.

I still think they missed a big time payoff by not having him feud with Orton after WM 20.
The top two 3rd generation superstars. Orton's not the best worker by far, but neither was Rocky. They both have that "big time" style to them, and both have an awesome look to book a huge feud around.
If only Orton was deserving of the spot.
Rocky vs HBK would be awesome, but I don't like Michaels having to put Rock over.

Nah, it already happen. It wouldn't make sense for Hogan to come back only to get squash. Plus, he already beat him.

i doubt he's in it for the paycheck. money means nothing to the rock now. he's paid, laid and made.
as for return matches, i'd love HBK vs. Rock, but I know Rock is going over, so I'd rather see a different match. The reality is, whomever Rocky wrestles is going to lose, so it has to be someone who won't be too affected by it (personally and character wise).
I hate that HBK is being jobbed out to Hogan and now possibly Rocky.
I wouldn't mind seeing...
Rock vs. Austin: One More Time
Rock vs. John Cena: Just because I'd love to see Cena turn heel on Rock.
Rock vs. Kennedy: Promos could be really awesome.
Rock vs. MVP: Promos could be really cool, would elevate MVP big time!
Rock vs. Batista: Shut up, I like Batista.
Rock vs. Sting: Hey, if they could pull that off -- awesome!
Rock vs. Jericho: Awesome promos, awesome match potential!
I can't think of anybody else at this time that would either get a big time rub from wrestling (albiet losing to) The Rock or that should have a special one time match. He could have a good match against a lot of folks, but none that particularly "deserve" to wrestle the Rock in his last match.
Who would you guys like to see The Rock face in his farewell match?

The Rock beating Cena at wrestlemania would be sweet!
A match against Orton would be good too.

what the hell is with you and hbk?
You ignore all the times he refused to put over others, and only put over austin because undertaker threatened to beat his ass when he started to threaten not to...

Rock vs. John Cena is the match that should happen if Rock were ever to step foot in a ring again (not that I'm believing it).
Rock vs. Shawn Michaels would be a good match, though.

around wm14, HBK started acting up and saying how he wasn't gonna lay down for austin as planned. Taker pretty much told him that, if he didn't, he'd be waiting for him and they would have words. His fist would talk to HBK's face.
HBK then did the job

Hell no he isn't. He never drew as champ, Rocky drew, as champion or not.
Rocky is also a bona-fide cross over star, sucesfully transferring careers, and is know to way more people.
I heard from Powerslam magazine as a teen or something he was at one of his relation 's shows where HBK was, and hbk acted disrespectfully to his family memeber and apparently he's never forgotten it.
