    Not so sore triceps

    yesterday I really wanted to workout my triceps; so I did 4 isolation exersices. Today there sort of sore but not as much as I think they should be. All exersices were 4 sets of 6

    45 lbs --One Arm Triceps Extension behind head (DB)

    90 lbs-- One Arm Push downs (cable)

    180 lbs--Two handed pushdowns (cable)

    80 lbs-- One Arm (palm up) Push downs (cable)

    Does anyone have this problem?

    1. Not enough intensity
    2. You need different rep ranges to stimulate all fiber
    3. I'd start with a compund exercise
    4. Now, this is a disputable issue:
    The pump. I am a convinced that a pump is the key to a successfull workout. Altough some people disagree...

    I attribute soreness to muscle microtrauma. In my case no pump = no soreness = no growth. No soreness sounds like failure to me. Too intense and there is something wrong in my diet/rest/work volume

    I work my triceps also with my regular bench press and behind my neck press.
    but I really like to isolate my triceps and biceps

    Personally, I don't bother with isolation lifts for my tris. They tend to grow very well with cg bench and dips..

    Strap some HEAVY weight on and do tricep dips..my triceps are one of my strong points because of those.
