    The Dave Palumbo Diet

Who's following the Dave Palumbo diet? I've followed this diet for 5 days now and lost around 5-6 pounds, fat and water weight. A sample of his diet is below:

MEAL #1 5 whole eggs (OMEGA-3 EGGS ); add another 4 egg whites to this

MEAL #2 SHAKE: 50g Whey Protein with 1 ? tablespoon of All Natural Peanut butter (no sugar)....

MEAL #3 "Lean Protein Meal": 8oz chicken with 1/3-cup cashew nuts (almonds, or walnuts)

MEAL #4 SHAKE: 50g Whey Protein with 1 ? tablespoons of All Natural Peanut butter (no sugar added

MEAL #5 "Fatty Protein Meal": 8oz Salmon, Swordfish, or RED MEAT with a green salad (no tomatoes, carrots, or red peppers) with 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil or Macadamia nut oil and vinegar..

MEAL #6 SHAKE: 50g Whey with 1 ? tablespoon all natural peanut butter or 4 whole (Omega-3) eggs and 4 extra whites..

and another sample: (I use this one)

    MEAL #1 6 whole eggs (OMEGA-3 EGGS )

MEAL #2 SHAKE: 50g Whey Protein with 1 tablespoon of All Natural Peanut butter

MEAL #3 "Lean Protein Meal": 8 oz chicken with 1 tb macadamia nut oil

MEAL #4 SHAKE: 50g Whey Protein with 1 tablespoons of All Natural Peanut butter

    MEAL #5 6 whole eggs (OMEGA-3 EGGS )

MEAL #6 SHAKE: 50g Whey with 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter

His thread on Muscular Devolopment is found here:
    http://forums.musculardevelopment.co...ead.php?t=2915

Usually he charges 150$ for consultations on his website for this diet but these are some samples of his eating plans, A LOT of questions are found on his thread.

I've thought about giving this a try before because I includes basically my 4 favorite foods. Eggs, PB, Beef and Whey lol.

Seems to be a version a High protein low carb diet. Its the same stuff around the board he just repackaged it under his name. I don't know the guy, but someone on he board said it last night...Egg whites are a sin in the Keto world

Theres no point in it. Eggs are dense with great stuff the body needs. protein Fat and good cholesterol. why cut it all out eating only the whites. The yolk it was makes the chicken grow, and you too!

So I started this diet today. I am going to cheat a bit on New Years and Christmas. I'm looking to cut some fat and keep up the strength.

To TheMeat- how have your energy levels been in the gym? Are you going to do any carb days?

    Regards,
    Abrams
Oh-oh say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
what so proudly we hailed, at the twilight's last gleaming?

Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, or the ramparts we watched,
    were so gallantly streaming.

And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there.

Oh-oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave?

When starting the diet your energy levels are kinda low but then as you go on they stabilize and you have enough. With this diet you cant do any carb days except after 2 weeks when you can have your cheat meal. Im trying carb cycling out right now, this diet works very very well if you can stick to it.

The extra whites are for the protein boost only. Its mainly whole eggs though.

I hear some people doing this diet with a Fat/protein 2 day and a protein/veggie one day cycle. What do you think of this and what would that diet look like? Basically how many grams of carbs from veggies would you be looking to get on the protein/veggie day per meal?

I really don't wanna mess you up and say something thats wrong so here is his thread in muscular development, you can ask him any question and he responds within a day. Make sure you skim his whole thread from page 1, provides a load of info on his diet.

To the above 2 posts, your energy first starts off low but then levels off, and its back to normal after some days. My metobalism burned off calories like crazy when Im on low low carbs, its like every day my body changed and I lost weight. Plus in the gym my lifts were actually getting stronger believe it or not. I would suggest some creatine and very high quality protein for this diet. Make sure you don't give in to temptation because its very easy to get carried away.

do you think this diet (or variation) would be effective on a cut if i were to get the right amount of calories? i always feel like i am eating too many calories because its so hard to reach my macros with less than 600 calories per meal

For the first few days follow the sample diet. After one week if you feel too hungry, add more food such as a couple more eggs, more chicken, steak, etc.. If your following the diet correctly you should be getting in excess of 210 grams of protein easily per day.

Do you mix the peanut butter into the whey protein, or just eat the PB off the spoon?
