    BCAAs?

I want to take BCAAs for recovery this summer instead of L-Glutamine (which is what I have always used up to now). Can someone point me to a good product for this?

Primaforce's product, can't remember the name off the top of my head, or a bulk powder and add your own flavor.

You can still have both, if you wish, in Glutamine Select Plus BCAAs (Beverly International).

That would be Xtend. It also includes Vitamin B6 which aids in BCAA transportation as well as Citrulline Malate. Tastes pretty decent as well.

What about Universal's BCAA's? I saw them at the gym but didn't have time to look at the back to check out the ingredients.

optimally it's based on bodyweight but for the best bang for the least amount of money I would try 1 scoop right before training and another to be consumed during the workout, either spread out in diluted water or mid-way through

I think that product is called BCAA Stack but I've never used it. I have used Animal Nitro which has a lot of BCAAs in it along with other EAAs.

Would 1 scoop taken during the workout be better then 1 scoop taken directly after (in post workout shake?)

I just bought the 500g scifit BCAA product, while its cheaper to just buy from a bulk supplier, im still impressed by the product, with a little crystal light it tastes great.

I used to use BCAA Stack, the grape flavor was really good. I switched to Nitro G though which is EAAs with a full BCAA profile too. It's grape flavored too.

BCAAs, however in HIGH amounts, could cause slight gastrointestinal distress. Basically the only potential side effect of supplementing with BCAAs is that they compete with tryptophan and tyrosine => these two amino acids should be taken apart from BCAAs as a deficiency in them may lead to nervous system dysfunctions (tryptophan and tyrosine are precursors for neurotransmitters, therefore they are essential for the maintenance of the central nervous system).
