That would leave me out, I vote no! lol
I bet one of Mr S's secrets is to eat lots and lots of high quality food and train those legs into the ground on leg day...followed by copious amounts of sex! lol
Yorkshireman I: Right! I had to get up in the morning, at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill and pay mill-owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our dad would kill us and dance about on our graves, singing Hallelujah!

An 80's kind of guy.
For the first time ever I am making my wife read a BB+35 thread.
I'll assume that also works for arms, back, chest, etc...
Just lemme go with it.

That is absolutely true, all bodyparts can be enhanced in this manner. Testing this theory is a lot of fun

I want a PB&J
Was this thread really necessary?
I was just telling Eddied27 tonight what got me my legs. I bounced around the first few years of lifting hitting them on and off, basically getting nowhere. Then Mrs. Someday made the comment about how she loves big legs....well, that was all I needed to hear. Been at them hard ever since. The look in her eyes motivates more than anything else by a long shot.
And for the record, they don't look nearly as good from the back....still working to change that.

Message Board King
Geeeeeeez! "What about your legs? Bla Bla Bla." Someday and Momma Snake are in the same camp. I was born with Nancy Reagan legs and have had to suffer thru thousands of ungodly squat sessions just to be "Well...maybe...yeah...OK".
I miss the days of Blue Jean bodybuilders and Biker bodybuilders.
Mr. S, you are blessed.

Well, since you called me out BH.
Someone told me how to answer this and he is dead on, there really is no secret, just go lift some heavy ass weights. Period. Quads may respond well to higher reps, but almost no one I see in my gym of 5000 members can take that 20 rep set to a level of intensity necessary to force them to grow. It has to be a brutally heavy set of 20....the kind where you keeled over grasping for breath, where you'd beat down a guy in a wheelchair for his oxygen. lol
Although I DC now, which is one heavy set (that's right, ONE) and one brutal 20 rep widowmaker, I built most of my legs on my old volume routine, which was heavy squats, wide Smith leg presses, leg press, lunges and yes, even leg extensions (I don't do these anymore). Nothing magical, just a lot of heavy weights, eating right and dedication to build them. Genetics helps too as Baldy points out....he has worked them even harder than me yet feels like he never got to the development I have now (not so sure about that....I've seen some of his competitive pics). I work my biceps just as hard, but have ZERO to show for it. And if I haven't developed a big, bulging peak after 9 years, guess what? I never will.

This is more like it! I wasn't really looking for the magic bullet I just wanted to see what your routine was/is like. I am planning to add 20's soon already so I know I am on the right track. For now, I am content with increasing my strength but I have been blessed with chicken legs and I am trying to figure out how to coax then to grow.
Next time I'll just call you out from the start since now I know that seems to work...
And Mrs. S, really! You are making me blush
Thanks,
Don

I was just busting your chops Someday. here is a post I posted on a subject that someone was complaining about having small legs no matter how hard they have been hitting them, let me know what you think

Never have I seen someone squat heavy below parallel with small legs.
20 reps squat will do you no good if
1) you are squatting with very light weight
2) you are doing 20 reps with heavy weight but you are only going half way down.
You want big legs?
Squat heavy and with high reps from time to time, but and this is a big BUT, you have to truly squat, you don't see many people even squatting 315 below parallel, yes they do it with 185lbs, 225lbs even sometimes with 275lbs, but rarely do i see people do a true squat with 315lbs and beyond and when you do, those guys almost always have huge legs.

Reps for the honesty.
Genetics (for growth and shape) and hard work are necessary.
But those who fight for right must remember St. Augustine's sage words,
"right is right even if no one is doing it...and wrong is wrong even if every one is doing it!"
