What are the best post workout carbs to fill muscle glycogen?
So excluding pure dextrose, what are some quality post workout things that'll fill muscle glycogen up fast?

For me its a toss up between sweet potato's and oatmeal.
I know in the morning I inflate up like a balloon while eating my bowl of oats..

I take instant oats with raisins, skim milk and a protein shake on the side.

yes, back in the day before everyone was taking WMS and dextrose, people ate this stuff called "whole food" - it's quite interesting actually.
PWO carbs come only from milk, banana and oats here. Works just fine.

sweet potatos for me, they are easier to carry, just wrap one in thin foil and eat them after a workout
all you people eating dextrose and wms powders... damn, if you are gonna eat carbs don't you want to at least enjoy them?

I don't think you should even worry about glycogen if you follow a normal moderate to high carb diet.

Wrong.
I personally use honey. Two to three table-spoons and a banana in my PWO shake work fine.

Maltodextrin is also high gi. but keep in mind low gi works just as well. You would be fine with oats and a banana, or WMS. Primary concern is the rate of protein synthesis, not glycogen replinishment unless you train 2-a-days IMO.
