Spirit Crusher idea:
Partial reps doing Standing DB Hammer Curl - Pick a weight and do as many full reps as possible. When you can't do any more full reps switch to partial reps going half way up for as many as possible
Narrow Push ups - 5 sets as many as you can do but with only 30 second rest between setsLast edited by push_it; 02-09-2009 at 08:22 AM.

Grrr...
Tool of the Day Moment: I took my Vaso in the car. I made sure I had my workout journal. I had 3 scoops of Xtend in my water bottle. And life was good. I started the workout on a high note (it was instinctive training again...because I felt like it )...CRUSHED a bunch of PRs for arms. 45 minutes later I said, "Gee! I still have 15 minutes left in my workout...that never happens...". It was then that I realized I TOTALLY left shoulders out of the routine. Just completely forgot that today was arms AND shoulders...D'OH! So I'm either going to do them tonight, or tomorrow (If courtney texts me back before 7pm, then I'm doing them with her tomorrow...which means no TABATA).
I presented the powerpoint with my group on Market Powder's influence on the obesity epidemic, and it seemed to be well received by the kids in the class, the professor (who was nodding her head the whole time...) and the teaching assisstant (who actually did the marking). So YAY!!!

That was a pretty good arm workout...even if you forgot to do shoulders.
LOL...I am full of all kinds of good (crazy) ideas when it comes to self inflicted pain while lifting.
What I'm liking right now is that I'm getting so used to going deep into the burn...I can just keep popping reps out after I would have failed, or had to quit before. I think beta-alanine has a lot to do with it too.My Journal:

Yeah I thought that I might have been late posting the spirit crusher idea but I wasn't sure. Keep it as my idea for next week
I got some ideas for a Shoulder Spirit Crusher and TABATA (if you do it).
Shoulders: DB Front Raise drop sets - start with a weight that you can get 10 reps for. Once you hit failure, drop down and use the next lowest set of DB's until failure. Drop again to the next set of DB's. Go for a total of 4 drops (so a total of 5 weights are lifted).
Tabata: tuck jumps
push up on medicine ball
1 legged squats
Great PR's! That is some crazy weight Bet the biceps were buring and the veins were poppin during that workout!Last edited by push_it; 02-09-2009 at 10:59 AM.
