Why? I agree that killing and not eating the animal you kill is disrespectful and wrong, but why is hunting wrong? If a hunter didn't go out a kill a deer, that deer might starve that winter and the hunter would go home and eat a cow or chicken someone else killed instead. Why is it any nobler to eat something someone else killed than to eat something you killed?

On the rare occasions I kill anything other than rats, raccoons and opossums (pests and rabies carriers), I eat everything edible on it, and my dogs eat the rest.

Frankly, I think that is much better and much nobler than eating some KFC, don't you?
