Fun race yesterday. I watched casually during the Schumi/Ferrari days and became a fan again last year. This will be my first full season watching.
Why all the Red Bull hate? Is it because they've been so successful over the past few years and ppl are tired of them winning?Redskins | San Antonio Basketball Team | Washington Baseball Team | Washington Hockey Team

tbh, personally my hate for them is pretty superficial.
i'm sure if they were called just Infiniti from the beginning I wouldn't have a problem with them. I just see a problem with a race team being financed by sloots drinking red bull vodkas in clubs around the world. lol***Not done with my drink till I've crunched all the ice crew***

Go on....
For those saying McLaren is crap don't underestimate them season is long and McLaren development rate is one of the best in F1.
Australia is not true judge of pace but Malayasia will give bigger picture where McLaren stands and rest of teams pecking order.
McLaren said they are lacking downforce but paddock rumor is they are having problem with front suspension (pull rod last year was push rod) the same problem that Ferrari had at start of last year.

Did you see how much the front end hopped around? Id say its mechanical not aero. Steve Matchett said at Jerez and Barcelona it took McLaren 18-20 minutes to adjust the suspension because its buried. Now they have the adjustment time down to around 10 minutes. It has to be that suspension. It wont take McLaren as long to turn the mp4 28 around as it took Scuderia to get the 150 sorted out last year.
bruh.

At Jerez McLaren raised a lot of eyebrows with their pace. Everyone had them as favorites.
Aero is everything in F1, why the car was bumpy and all over the place at Melbourne could be compromised setup, ie car as low as possible to get best aero advantage which exaggerated the harsh ride.
Sometimes what simulation produces doesn't correlate what happens in real world. McLaren might have problem with wind tunnel, wrong geometry with suspension, etc....like Ferrari, McLaren have to use the Toyota wind tunnel to check correlation. Whitmarsh has repeated many times that Mp4-28 has more downforce then Mp4-27.

Whitmarsh also responded to questions about going back to the Mp4-27 with "not before next weekend." if it were a definite no he would've just said no. he then said, "we think we can work this one out, but if we can't we will look at anything."
whether or not it has more downforce, it's just plain slower. maybe your guess is right and it's just too turbulent. that might explain the jostling of the nose.***Not done with my drink till I've crunched all the ice crew***

It typical rains at Malaysia. And it looks like we could be getting rain again this year. Might have to wait until China to get a sense of where teams stand. But of course it's all about development going forward. Where teams are at now or in China may change as the season moves along.
Malaysia forecast:
☆ Scuderia Ferrari ☆
Atlanta Braves - Carolina Panthers - Charlotte Bobcats - UNC Tar Heels

Whitmarsh quote makes it seem they have error in some part of the car they can't figure out.
Will see what they do at Sepang if there is lot of flow vis around or bird cages at rear of car the Ron Dennis alarm bells will start ringing.
As for the headline going back to Mp4-27 that would be devastating its like Ferrari running f2004m version for 05 season, this is why Catheram is screwed this season they are running same car from last year.
