changing Massa's gearbox so Alonso can start 1 position higher on the grid is not even close to how Red Bull "cheat" with Toro Rosso letting Vettel passed. strong location to post ratio and thanks for the neg. come the fuck at me you *******. at least the drivers I support (alonso, kimi, etc) actually have to race to earn their championship points.

You could argue what Ferrari did was unsportsmanlike. But cheating? Nope...
Vettel was lucky that his suspension wasn't severely damaged during his crash with Senna. I wanted Alonso to take the championship home. But ultimately Ferrari let him down this season. Congrats to Vettel.
Championship aside that was an amazing race. I would not mind seeing Hulkenberg in a red car one day. He, unsurprisingly, drove great this year. He made Paul di Resta look average at best during the second half of the season.☆ Scuderia Ferrari ☆

The Championship is an accumulation of 20 races, you're only looking at a small part of a single race. Blaming TR, Webber, and MS is just stupid when you realize that Ferrari gave Alonso a sub-par car ALL YEAR and Newey/RB built Vettel a more than competitive one. Why not blame Ferrari? How many poles does Alonso have this year? Or is that TR's fault too?
Don't blame TR, blame Ferrari for not giving Alonso a better car. Since we are blaming everyone but Ferrari, how about Grosjean and Kimi for taking Alonson out once each at the 1st turn in Spa and Japan?
They didn't change his gearbox, they just broke the seal to move Alonso up a position and onto the clean line.
Both are the same, neither is cheating, it's not sportsman like but not cheating. Ferrari forced Massa to let Alonso ahead for the grid at Austin, TR let Vettel pass.
The over emotional reactions on this forum is just silly. Are a few people here new to F1 and not familiar with the politics involved?
In motor racing your teamate is the 1ST person you want and need to beat. But in the end during the race Webber let Vettel pass easily during the race reguardless of what he said beforehand.I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid and lazy people, just that we should eliminate warning labels and welfare, let the problem take care of itself.

I hope they do a better job with F1 than their Indycar coverage, which was horrible.
More than once they tape delayed the footage with the word "LIVE" still in the corner, but at the bottom of the screen in the scrolling news bar they kept giving away the winner of the Indycar race I was currently watching!!! F*cking spoiled half the races they aired, still pissed about that bullsh*t.I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid and lazy people, just that we should eliminate warning labels and welfare, let the problem take care of itself.

That last race was amazing. So exciting since the first lap..
That being said, I am disappointed that alonso didn't win.
Nothing against vettel but alonso took a subpar car and was points away at the end, so as far as drivers he deserved to be considered the best driverS&P OG.....

All well said.
I would agree that Alonso was the Driver of the Year given his car but that is taking nothing away from Vettel. He is the Champion. Its like saying who is better, say Jim Clark or Ayrton Senna. It doesn't matter. Both are all time greats.
Thats what worries me too. Their coverage was just as bad as ESPN when they took over Indy Car. Part of the problem was they brought over the same piss poor announcers like Bob Jenkins and put biased people like CAR OWNER Robby Buhl in the booth. There was no credibility. I hope the fact that they are bringing over Matchett and Hobbs is good news. Lets hope too that even with these guys, they don't dumb down the coverage."People listen to rich folks. People they pray for poor folks"- John Thompson, long time head basketball coach at Georgetown University.

Lol, F1 has always been about car, team and driver. It's never been just one of those, especially not this year when performance has been up and town for all the teams.
Vettel has a much closer partnership with the engineers, the design team, etc. Ferrari just try to stick everything they have behind one driver. Alonso is bad at qualifying, he has immense race pace, overtaking skills, etc...but he can't quali for **** so it's just terrible to put everything on a slow car, Vettel had an unreliable car.
In any case with less reliability problems the title would have been decided between Vettel and Hamilton.
TR and the rest got out of the way of Vettel because they know they have to do it, they would've done it for Alonso as well, this is what makes F1 fun to watch, it's not really fair play, it's a bunch of huge egos on fast cars. Bernie Ecclestone would've killed anyone who got in the way of the race between the possible two champions, he'd dig the hole himself.
This year's best thing has been Kimi Raikkonen, I hope to see a lot more of him next year, the guy is amazing and he makes the sport worth watching all by himself.

This is simply not true. Hamilton only has 4 more career poles than Alonso. Massa has only out qualify Alonso 10 times in 3 seasons.
Ferrari had terrible qualifying pace in the dry this season. It's not a coincidence that Alonso's only 2 poles this year came in wet weather. The F2008 was the last Ferrari with great qualifying pace.☆ Scuderia Ferrari ☆

Hamilton has almost 100 races less than Alonso, man, 4 poles is nothing, Hamilton is not even the best qualifier on the track right now.
And Massa is a much poorer driver than Alonso, why compare them? The car is built to fit mostly Alonso, they won't go and ask Massa what his ideas are because he's the 2nd driver, he's there to pick up points for the constructors. At least RBR allow their drivers to race up until it becomes clears that the chances of one of the drivers become...hardly plausible.
If people want to see a championship where driver skills make the most difference and there's no real politics...just watch GP2.

Hamilton certainly has a case for best qualifier honors. To say otherwise would be ridiculous. There is no doubt that Hamilton would have a similar amount of career poles as Vettel if he were in a Red Bull. And Alonso has spent multiple seasons in cars not capable of being put on pole. So the fact that he has 80+ more career starts than HAM is irrelevant. I'm comparing Alonso to Massa because they are teammates (obviously). If Alonso was a terrible qualifier, as you say, he would not dominate a driver in qualifying who held his own against Kimi. And he most certainly would not have 20+ career poles. Prove to me that Alonso is a terrible qualifier. Because statistics contradict what you're saying.
As for the car being built to mainly suit Alonso, do you honestly think Red Bull doesn't do the same with Vettel? Webber is the #2 driver at Red Bull. And he's fully aware of it even though Red Bull will never admit it to the media. Do I need to post the video where Webber is pissed because the team took his new wing and gave it to Vettel? Or shall I post the video where Red Bull tell Webber not to challenge Vettel for the win at Silverstone?Last edited by ScuderiaF1; 11-26-2012 at 11:21 PM.

Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel, and Kimi are the best drivers in F1 today, each has their own attributes in certain areas but only by a little bit. Personaly I could not rate them 1 thru 4 and I've been an F1 fan since 1990, there are simply too many variables between cars, qualifying pace, races, consistency, development, bad weather capabilities, etc...
Someone said Alonso is a bad qualifier, no, no driver in F1 is a bad qualifier, they are the world's best drivers. Just when compared to each other some are better than others. Alonso hasn't had an entire career with Mclaren International like Hamilton and he doesn't have Sir Adrian Newey designing his cars like Vettel. I don't think he's ever had the fastest car throughout a season but he's always a contender and a few times the Champ. After watching him fight the steering wheel all season this year, even though Kimi is my favorite, I'd say Alonso is the driver of the year. Ferrari needs to get their *sses in gear.
I still consider Vettel the Champion and he and RBR deserved it. Watching him powerslide out of Ascari in Monza's qualifying last year at around 120MPH then pull off the outside pass at wide open throttle and edging off the track through Curva Grande in the race at 160+MPH... lifetime's worth of respect from here on out, buddy.
Hamilton has been groomed and trained by Mclaren to BE a Mclaren driver and just when you think he's on a losing streak he pulls another rabbit outta the hat. He's hard to beat when it comes to race craft and skilled as one of the best today. Thing is he's never driven a sub-par mid pack car or had to work his way up to a competitive drive and lately he's come off as spoiled. Next year he's going to see how good he's had it his whole career.
Kimi, what can you say? He's cool as hell(just don't talk to him when he's racing) and rarely f*cks up. He's the only driver to complete every lap of every race this season so he's consistent and reliable(when he's not diving down closed escaped roads off track at Brasil). 3rd in the Championship in a slower than Mclaren/RBR/Ferrari isn't bad after being away for a few years. If Lotus former Renault former Benneton give him a faster car he'll be there fighting for the chamionship in 2013.
2012, WOW! 20 races, 7 different winners in the 1st 7 races, 8 total for the year and was almost 10 had Hulkenburg and Perez pulled them off. It was a helluva year, being a diehard MotoGP fan I never thought I'd see the day when F1 was 100x's more exciting than MotoGP and next year isn't looking any better for the 2 wheeled GP's. I can't wait for the 2013 F1 season to get under way!

"Michael very graciously gave him P6 and that was enough to convert his third consecutive World Championship," said Horner.
"Michael is renowned for being a tough racer. I think it was his gesture to Sebastian, almost like passing the baton on.
"I'm sure it was not particularly well received at his former employer [Ferrari] but I thought it was very magnanimous of Michael to move out of the way for his fellow countryman."

For me in terms of ability it is simple...
1)Alonso
2)Hamilton
3)Kimi/Vettel.
4)The rest...
That RedBull car has been nothing short of unbeatable the last three years, and the only true person who could challenge Vettel should have been Webber but he is mentally weak and not one of the elite drivers.
The fact that Alonso has come close, twice, in a beat up Ferrari tells me how good that guy is...an amazing driver.
Hamilton is by far the most aggressive and Sennaesq out there...put him, Alonso and Vettel in the same car.....im sure Hamilton would qualify P1, Alonso would win the majority of races and Vettel would bitch and moan.
PS i dont even like Alonso, i just have to admit as a racing driver he is immense, a true great.FLM - Fight Like Matt
