I really wasn't sure if Ricciardo was a good/confident enough racer to pull off a move against Hamilton on that track, then he just went in dry round the outside in that corner. Was beauriful.

Hamilton short quali due to unreliabily positioned his fast car last at the start, this forced him to work his way through the pack.

Rosberg was already about 8 seconds ahead of Bottas before the safety car came out on lap 10, definitely would have been an easy race for him if there weren't any incidents.

No, do you even read mate. I specifically was speaking about the 2014 season, not this race in particular.

Even then, you're focusing your sole attention to the front runners (the mercs). There have been many exhilarating battles to watch throughout the field, during this race, and throughout the whole season thus far. Take Bahrain for example, wheel to wheel inter-team battling to the chequered flag, or Monaco where Bianchi finished 9th, the Canadaian race, the Australian race, every race has had action. Last season in comparison was like watching grass grow. If you take the merc's out of the picture, you can see how most of the teams form the midfield, and race strategy is now becoming the dominant talking point over quali. Force India is a prime example of this.

Alonso showing that there race brilliance again. Knowing that fairly worn mediums fall to a similar pace as hella worn softs...Just keep Hamilton back there until his mediums really fall off. Keeps Ricciardo(and possibly Rosberg) at bay too. Didn't entirely work out, but worked good enough for 2nd step in a 5th place machine(TBH).
