I like to think I would die for my God (Jesus) but I would be talking sheeet to say I would untill that day actually comes I might chicken out like a beeeaaaoooochhhh for all I know.

I'm thinking the same thing. I feel as if i would die for my religion, but until i'm faced with the situations i won't ever know.

If I were kill for my religion, then I would die by my religion. If were to die for my religion, then I would live by my religion. Hopefully, if I had to die for my religion, I'd have the courage to do it.

if it ever came to the point where i had to kill for my religion, i defiantly would.

i dont ever see that time happening unless the dems have their way or islam took a firm stance in this country and converted us to sharia.

Excuse me, but you just stated that you would kill if sharia law was established in the US (in fact you also said the same of the dems, but I took that as a joke).

Pease please oh please provide the Biblical evidence that supports your pull out clause from this particular commandment. I.E. "Thou shall not kill...that is unless you disagree with the governmental law. If you find yourself in this situation feel free to kill at your discretion."

The more devout they are, the more they see murder as being negotiable. It depends on who's doin the killin' and who's gettin' killed.

haha, nah. It all depends on the circumstances man. We are meant to be peaceful, but God also allows us to defend ourselves.

Does he want us to kill others in defending his Church? I doubt it.

It seems the most common way to look at it is the more the individual feels they represent and have to defend it , the more their willing to sacrifice for it regardless of who's getting killed. This is one noticeable element of fundamentalism.

I'd die for my religion if I had to, dying for God is probably the ultimate sacrifice you could make.

I wouldn't kill for it though, I don't find that supported anywhere, all through the NT persecution was only countered by faith and prayer never with violence.

Unlike the islamic idea of martyrdom, which is suicide and take as many infidels with you. When it comes to christianity and persecution you aren't suppose to resist violently but be passive like a lamb to the slaughter as our Lord Jesus was, if he wants you to die as a martyr he'll let it happen, otherwise he won't, as he does control all things

So there you do, open season on christians, we won't fight back

Can you show me where in the Qur'an it says martyrdom is suicide? Because it's not in anyone's I know. Study the facts before you speak.

A conscious decision to kill oneself is suicide, unless it's for a selfless act.

They even call it SUICIDE BOMBING

I call it how I see it.

On one side you have muslims saying it's not in the koran.

Then you have other muslims saying it is, and they go do it while reciting their koran on their goodbye video and say they're doing it for allah

I have no reason to believe you over them, and one side has horribly interepreted it.
