Reports now saying we have agreed to terms on a deal averaging 4.5m per year. This could end up being a steal. And lessens the chance we take a 2nd-3rd round OG, but you never know.

Any news on length yet? I think we should address RB/FS in the 2nd or 3rd, depending on whats available.

Definitely addresses both sides of the trenches. Soliai + OL was pretty much my only wishes for FA. Byrd was way too expensive

Yeah great day 1 but I don't think they are done yet, DeCoud was released so they need to sign a safety. Bethae signed so maybe TJ Ward?

Maybe. But I have not really kept up with the market on safeties and their demands outside of Byrd. Was hoping they'd address that through the draft, but im not sure ifthey would want that young of a secondary. 2 2nd year players and a rookie back there at FS. But who knows. Ward would definitely boost the falcons D, but what is he asking for

Call me crazy, but falcons should definitely be faves to win NFC south and be looking at an 11+ win season if we get a good passrusher with our first pick and everyone stays healthy. Esp with all of the turnover in our division.

Hopefully we get mack and wreak havoc in the saints o line. Theyre o line should be weak since they pretty much maxed out for byrd. But who knows. Getting more and more excited fellow falcons fans!

i was hoping for jared allen, but all i hear is broncos, who are also going after demarcus ware apparently :\

either way, whatever. clearly we will be a base 3-4 and much less of of the hybrid stuff (IM NOT A FAN!). get your personnel and play your system. playing with a bunch of crosssover guys is essentially being the jack of all trades, master of none IMHO.

you got your anchor up front, jackson at the end, and Osi on the other. NOW....go get you some guys who could be big time 3-4 outside LBs. we have the draft position. so far, so good...

and if Osi is not in the picture, then you need to have a threat on that side. you cant just keep swapping 1 DE for another, and expecting them to be rock stars when nobody else is there to pose a threat

I'm not sure why there are a few sites having us as low as 4 mil, nowhere near right.

Also can't believe we are going to put a rookie back there at safety unless they sign Champ to play or Clark.

restructuring only does so much. i don't think you fully understand that when you restructure contracts, you're still on the hook for paying them that amount, it just pushes it back and back.

Will be furious. They would be better off moving up and picking up some more draft picks. They have a valuable pick, they won't have one this good for a while, so no need to reach and fukc it up.
