All the talk is on Tiger how he did this and that. I hope Rocco can win because he has received no credit on his performance. So this is the support Rocco thread.

Agreed. Watching the broadcast yesterday was getting annoying with so much Tiger talk. The broadcast started at 3pm, and Tiger didn?t tee off until 4:30? that whole time in between, they hardly showed any golf. The world?s top golfers are teeing off but the network is too busy discussing Tiger?s knee to get to them. It must get annoying for the other golfers too. If any of them are lucky enough to get an interview on tv, they get asked questions about Tiger. ?Enough about Tiger, lets go down to the course and ask some other players what they think about Tiger!?

I think Tiger's earned that right. And the guys who teed off early yesterday were out of the competition so of course they were treated as an afterthought. The week of the Super Bowl, would you have been more interested in the Pats and Giants training or a game between the Falcons and 49ers? The guys that mattered at that point (Westwood, Rocco, Ogilvy) seemed to get a fair amount of time spent on them.

I see what you?re saying, but I still think they can afford to expand their coverage. There were a lot of big names on the course, and whether or not they?re still in the running, I?d much rather watch them play than see a couple of boring anchors talk about Tiger. If you?re going to sit down and watch golf, wouldn?t you want to see as much golf as possible?

To be honest, golf as a sport bores the **** out of me if there's no drama, so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. The last 2 days = drama. If they spent more time looking at guys out of the running, I would have changed the channel until they got back to those last couple of pairings. I guess I can see where bigger fans and golf purists are coming from though. I know I get pissed off when they spend an entire UFC hyping the main fight, when I want to see more of the undercards.

Tiger IS golf. Noone cares about the sport when he isnt playing. The only other guy that even comes close is Phil, but he was out of the tourney early. I know i only tune in to watch Tiger, otherwise it bores the fuk out of me. No problem with that, the networks are catering to what everyone wants to see. Have I ever tuned in on Monday to watch golf ever? Hell no. Am I watching golf on a Monday right now because Tiger is playing? Fuk yes.

Yeah, that?s a better analogy I think. We all know the UFC main event is coming, we all know what it?s about, why overanalyze it and talk about it when they could be showing an undercard fight? The real fans just ignore the hype and want to see as many good fights as possible. (and who really wants to listen to Mike Goldberg anyways!)
At least the playoff is close, Rocco +3, Tiger +2New music and video up! www.daysleftmusic.com
