Yet there really isn't one person who I would want Rodgers to throw the ball to with 1 second left on the game clock (near the end zone). Jennings showed a knack for the end zone a couple of years ago but has faded since. Rodgers is accurate and doesn't throw stupid interceptions down near the goal line. It would just be nice to have a receiver or tight end to depend on down there. A lack of a solid running game or McCarthy's refusal to run hurts the offense's chances of scoring with the shortened field.

Why didn't Quarless go for the ball (most likely drawing pass interference on the defense) rather than waiting for the ball to come to him when it was obviously not the best throw for the situation?
Anyways unless Mac makes huge changes I'm on the bandwagon to fire him.

Green Bay, Wis. (WHBL-Learfield) - Green Bay Packers’ tight end Jermichael Finley and linebacker Nick Barnett are apparently out for the season following their surgeries the past couple days. But Coach Mike McCarthy says the Packers won’t decide at least until next week whether to put either player on injured reserve. Finley had knee surgery on Tuesday that was more complicated than expected. Reports say he could be out 8-to-12 weeks. Barnett had wrist surgery yesterday. The Packers also lost perhaps their best special teams’ player, safety Derrick Martin. The team ruled him out for the season yesterday with several sprained knee ligaments. Eight players, including six starters, missed a practice that was reduced in scope yesterday with so many people out. Back-up quarterback Matt Flynn took all the snaps, but it’s still possible that Aaron Rodgers will get the necessary approval to return in time for Sunday’s home game against Miami. He suffered a concussion last week at Washington, and McCarthy says he could know more about Rodgers’ status today. Right tackle Mark Tauscher will miss Sunday’s game, and his status for the following week remains uncertain with a shoulder injury. Linebacker Clay Matthews will sit out practice this week, and will then be evaluated to see if he can play against the Dolphins. Linebacker Sam Shields took full part in yesterday’s workout, after missing two games with a strained calf. The Packers are 3-and-2. Miami is 2-and-2, and is coming off a bye week – and everybody on the Dolphins is reported to be healthy.

I'd rather have a bunch of good options and a QB who's arguably the best in the league at finding the right one than one goto guy.
A lack of a solid running game or McCarthy's refusal to run hurts the offense's chances of scoring with the shortened field.

Barnett's officially on IR. Montgomery's taking his roster spot. Slim pickings out there when you've lost this many guys!

he will come out in the first series, throw a couple passes, hand off to AP then have to come out of the game due to injury. but magically the consecutive starts streek has continued.

Means nothing at this point. How about a flag? The bears beat us on basically the same exact play (we had a helmet to helmet hit and cutler through an int) which was reversed and led to them scoring. I'm fine with taking that penalty as long as we get it in return...
We also ended our season on it last year also. You'd think Rodgers would get some love from the refs at some point.Last edited by rampagefc77; 10-15-2010 at 04:08 PM.

yep, i counted 3 as well...saw hall on the MM show the week b4 the game talking about special teams and joking about getting a shot at FB. At the rate the players are dropping, that may be a reality.
speaking of special teams, I read in the WI state journal that Aaron Stecker had a try-out for the pack last week...retired in april after 11 seasons, averaged something like 24 yds/return on kickoffs. anyone hear anything about that? his wife was my 'girlfriend' in kindergarten, lol. sorry, no pics (no ****)

Underachieving for sure. they need a fire/spark/whatever, and the sooner the better. it's apparent by the reactions of the players (AR questioning the playcalling after the detroit game, jennings outspokeness after this past game, etc)...still have not heard anything out of MM but the usual BS he repeats after every poor performance.
And as for Mathhews, what a difference with him out of the game. McNabb had absolutely no consistency when Matthews was pressuring him every down. As soon as he came out, it was clear.
Really hope that they get it together here ASAP. Maybe when Bigby comes back (next week?), Matthews and woodson can be even more effective. GO PACK! and go badgers, let's get it done tonight at Camp Randall

No pass rush without Matthews + Dolphins WR B. Marshall = long day on defense.

Defense is a joke without Matthews.

This is pathetic to see. Charles Woodson doesnt even seem like he gives a damn. What a Joke.

Not getting another pass rusher to complement Matthews is blowing up in their faces.

Could we double Marshall already? Williams is getting taken to the woodshed...Al Harris style.

Swain should get a shot at Nelson's spot. Nelson has dropped more passes than he has caught this season.
Packers going pass happy again. ****ing McCarthy.

Hawk tips the pass and Williams still lets Marshall catch the pass. Amazing.
6 catches 83 yards

Ilemi.tv has a few streams, via ESPN America so you'll see funny British ads describing fantasy football.
This team is so banged up but the wide receivers on this team need to stop dropping passes, it's a joke.
