    Hip Machines

I just started using the hip machines at my gym, always seen women on them so I never used them until someone told me it would help my squat and deadlift, how true is this?

It can help loosen you up if you are tight. Sometimes I do them on a deload or before pulling.

Its pre-hab, not going to really make you stronger directly

Brent Mikesell used to recommend this machine. He said it helped him force his knees out while squatting

This. I'll use it if my knees are having trouble staying out from time to time.

Any exercise you never do will make whatever moves the weight stronger. It's not a staple movement, but it's worth a few weeks of adding in if it was difficult for you depending what your routine looks like.
