I have heard countless times that it is unwise to eat tuna more than three times per week.
Wondering what the board thought.

On what grounds have your sources told you that tuna is bad more than 3x per week?

its recommended by the FDA or whoever, that you should only eat 2 cans a week. but i wouldnt care about 3. hell, whenever we get tuna, i usually have a can or 2 a day until they are all gone.

I have been eating 2 cans of tuna a day for the last week. I only plan on doing if for 12 weeks (bulking) and then I probably wont have tuna in a long time. Should I cut it down to 1 can a day?

I'm a fan of tuna, and I tend to mix up my day from time to time and replace the chicken breast with tuna. when you consume chicken for three of 6 meals it gets a tad boring sometimes. mmm tuna stirfry...
As for the mercury poisoning...I'm not too worried about it. If you read into the research above and beyond what the American FDA did, you'll discover that their announcement was made on shaky research that has been discredited by other research done on the same topic.

i'm not a tuna eater. i tried it for the first time straight out the can with no additives and the **** gave me runs for days. my stomach got so bubbly and I became EXTREMELY gaseous. I was on an archaeology trip in the desert so tuna was the best bet for food. Hell will freeze over before I try that nasty $hit again!
