Good, but it can't last very long. Don't get disappointed because it will soon slow down to 3 pounds per month or below. Unless you lift some serious weights or 2 pounds per month is still unachieveable after half year... (24 pounds a year?) Remember who grow bigger the fastest are strongmen and powerlifters (240+ lb at 6ft tall, natural), not average fitness bodybuilders (sub-200lb 6ft, natural).
You grow fastest usually at the time you first go to gym -- and your strength also goes up fastest. Second wave of growth is when you start lifting heavy.
To keep growing, lift heavy and train for strength. You get stronger in 1RM will probably lead to a higher 8RM, thus increase the loading in your muscle hypertrophy training, and only in this way you can keep getting bigger.

Are strongmen and powerlifters just fat?

Strongman Pudzian takes that super supplement of course, as he is a competitor, point to notice is that he is not fat.
And IFBB pro johnnie jackson is a PL'er

And also Ronnie Coleman (still!) has some big numbers in PL lifts.
