I don't see why not. It will not adversely affect growth in any way nor hurt any of your organ if you mantain proper hydration.

Yes you can, it has no bad side effects, except for frequent urination(but hey to you it might be good, lol who knows) Great gains, idk but it will give your muscles a little fuller look, you may also have strength gains.

Judging by your first post, you dont know too terribly much about working out, and you dont know what to expect gains-wise. How long you been working out?
I would recommend working out for a year worth of SOLID lifting before I began researching some supplement. Judging by your first post, you will be expecting too much of creatine, you will be disheartened, and you will stop working out.

    Just my input

EDIT: And I would recomend cycling creatine due to the pschycological effects

Yes. If you continue to take it for years on end, you will no longer feel the added "oompf" it will be giving you. I say take it for 2 months (mono) or for a month (CEE), cycle off for a week while you re-order more, then continue. I have noticed that the longer you take it w/out doing a cycle, the lesser the effects of the CEE are. That is why i do one month on, 1 week off (while I am re-ordering).

Does a 14 year old need to take creatine? Probabally not.

Can a 14 year old take creatine, and would it be safe? Yes. I would advise to stay well hydrated on it though.

Why doesnt he need to? He works out, he wants to get bigger, I don't see the negatives here.

Look, he really doesn't need to, when he works out to his natural potential then he can take the creatine and other supplements other than protein.

But if he wants to spend money on it and drink lots of water, then let him.

It is usually up to the parents.

There are no negatives. Thats why I said it's safe and he can take it. At 14 however it's just not neccassary to make nice gains.

Exactly... No one NEEDS to use any supplement. It is their choice and it is a catalyst for muscle hypertrophy, or it is just a more convenient way to supplement your body with the nutrients it needs.. Before you get out of control with supplements make sure your diet and program is in check. Supplements are simply for convenience no one ever needs them.
