    diet to increase testosterone levels?

I've been in an overtrained state from running for a good 3 weeks atleast and I read that your testosterone levels are low when your in this state (I've confirmed this because my sexual drive is a lot lower than it normally is). Aside from cutting out all exercise, what should I eat to actually increase my testosterone levels?

I've been eating peanut butter and avocados for monounsaturated fat and taking 3 flaxseed oil pills a day.

Is there anything else that you guys would suggest?

I've read that zinc can help raise lowered test levels back to normal. Don't take it with calcium though. Those two supposedly fight for absortion or something like that.

Benlee, I have been suffering from the same problem. I run alot during the week also and I can tell that after I run, my sex drive is low as well. My wife is really starting to bug me about it. I have been raising my fats, but that doesn't seem to do much good. When you find out how to sove the problem (other than not exercising which is NOT an option for me, let me know)

    Bump on Zinc.

I don't believe there is any way around taking a couple of days off. I've increased my post-workout carbs (to around 60 grams from 30) because I felt I was'nt recovering fast enough.

Speda 1, I have also increased my carbs post workout and have noticed a HUGE difference. It has really helped. Are you on the Keto diet? The reason I ask is because I am on it. That 30g of carbs post workout is just not enough for me. Other than that, I follow the keto plan the rest of the day. Just curious as to the results you have received from increasing your carbs.

Yes, I do a modified keto plan. The extra carbs definitely help with recovery.

I do a lot of running, and 30 grams of carbs is just not enough after a 10 mile run!

97LT1, is that your post workout carbs that hover around 100 or your TOTAL carbs for the day?

definately start eating more red meat and "free range" eggs if you can... (not sure if the free range thing is a myth or not)

definately bump up the post workout carbs too.. some people get there best results by taking in 100g of carbs post workout.. it depends what type of workout your doing but definately experiment.. and worry more about your total results then what some little strips tell you about your peeee

oh yeah.. zinc and sleep too
    good luck
