I bought a dozen eggs by Wild Harvest because they were on sale. On the cover it says "Large, brown hen eggs with 200mg Omega 3s, no drugs, antibiotics, fed high quality whole grains..etc"
What's the big deal about eggs having Omega 3s.. Do all eggs have it or did they feed the hens Omega 3s and claim each egg is 200mg...
Omega 3 in big letters wasn't on any other dozen.

They all have a little bit I suppose, but if you buy eggs that are from hens fed a good diet (including omega-3 like flax), the eggs will have more and be healthier.
According to nutritiondata.com, a normal egg only has about 20mg of omega-3. So 200mg is a marked improvement.

So if you eat eggs, make sure they're "Omega-3 enriched" because they probably have 7-10 times as much omega-3 as a normal egg. I buy eggs from Egg Innovations and they have 150mg each. Good stuff.Last edited by Stagger; 04-21-2005 at 04:47 PM.
