Shoulder Popping
I was doing lateral raises today and while I was lowering my arms, there was a popping sensation in my right shoulder. I stopped right away but am a little concerned. Since I started consistently lifting in late July, I have noticed weakness in my shoulders compared to the rest of my muscles but not really any popping like this. Any ideas on what this might be? I really don't want to have to stop lifting, I've made so much progress. For now my plan was to eliminate the lateral raises.

Hmm...don't know. My left shoulder dislocates itself sometimes. My right knee pops when I do leg presses and squats too.

Well, the shoulder is sore now, too, not in the good post-workout soreness way either. And it's never done this before today.

I had this same problem a while ago and was told it's due to the rotator cuff being weak. I'd probably get it checked out just incase, but if you want type in "rotator cuff strengthening exercises" on google and it'll give you a huge list of ways to strengthen it, usually small movement exercises that only take a few minutes to do that you'll need to do every workout day. Made my problem go away.
