I've been taking a pre-work that's used for pumps because it was recommended. I get that pumped feeling after 2 sets, which is great, but it feels like I'm my muscle is too taxed for a third set.
The pumped feeling in general makes me feel like my muscle has already been worked to its limit. Does anybody else feel that way?

Blood is rushing into that muscle when you get a good pump. Different things(carbs, water, PWO) can all cause different kinds of pumps. Some pumps can be painful because you have so much blood rushing to that part of the body. When that happens, take a little more time between sets if it's too painful to continue performing sets.
Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!
