What's the closest thing to a steroid that's safe and legal?

I was talking to a friend (former competitive bodybuilder) today and he started wondering about something: what's a legal test booster? Don't get me wrong; I'm not talking about a steroid, but what's the closest thing that you can actually go out and buy legally and, above all, is safe?

I've done some searches and nothing I've found has specifically answered this.

Effective and safe? Nothing -- Everything that affects hormones is going to exact a cost for most of us. Stay the hell away from anti estrogen products (6oxo, novadex xt etc) ---absolutely pointless and useless. You can find lots of people who would disagree with this assessment and if you are aching to find a magic bullet (like most of us) to give you the body you want then you will likely ignore me and plow ahead. These products sell Hope and the promise of instant gratification.

look at sappers bold+testoblan log, hes gained 12 pounds in 16 days... but i dont know if thats exactly the "safe" you were looking for...

12lbs in 16 days? Either he was coming off a long layoff or was a relative newb OR gained a pile of fat. The (very) odd person is so genetically gifted that anything they do builds muscle but they do not reflect the needs or expectations of the other 90% of us.

Just looked at a kids final review of another "mass stack" that included decent pictures. He looked fatter, thats it.

Enjoy your 20-'s without pumping your body full of compounds that are going to **** up you endocrine system for life. Or not.

Agree 100% here. Great stack.. i did the old activate and x-factor.. worked grreat. Another good one to look into would be the trinity stack. It was not an insult and I did not name the product or the person so I could avoid insulting him. The pictures are not debatable, they show a person who is deluding himself and getting ripped off AND hurting his health by trying to jam the needle into the red ----homeostasis is a bitch when it swings the other way.

The vast majority of these products are being used by 20 somethings that would gain the same amount of muscle with a proper diet and realistic training PLUS time, without the risks these products bring.

My opinion is just that, an opinion. I do not see any of these products as being beneficial.

Well, I am older than you I say you are pretty much way off base... Not all products work for all people, hence the number of formulations on the market. Some are bull**** and some are quality products that deliver on their claims. Maybe you just used crappy products or didn't respond well to what you used but that doesn't make it so for everyone...

My sense is that most of the people with any or some success with these products (mass wise) are experiencing a couple of things:

1. Expectations are high and they become determined to get their diet and training right---after 6,8 or 10 weeks they have put on some poundage. They would have anyways if they had simply skipped the product and dialed in their diet and training.

2. They are eating like crazy while on the product and voila! Weight gain!

I have NEVER seen ANY pictures that impress me (not the persons body, the so called results). People buy this **** when they see the steroid users who pimp the product and have their before pictures during their off cycle and the after pictures on cycle, pumped up after a workout. Basically, complete lies.

C'mon everyone, lets all take a deep breath and admit (I include myself in this) that after we bust our asses and do not look like the freaks in magazines we get desperate enough to gobble up anything that promises us that our fantasies can come true. MOst of us will build really great , decently muscled bodies in relation to what we started with. This should be enough.

Finally, I had a good laugh reading the Superdrol NG insert---increased aggression and increased sex drive, JUST what every 20yr old needs!

Absolutely. I really notice the effects of creatine. Betalanine is also pretty good. Other than that, perhaps the energy products like AMP etc but I stay the hell away from those since I like my coffee and would OD on stims if I started.

The post workout products are pretty good too---loved Anabolic Window and (believe it or not) Anator. Simply put, better recovery but certainly not the 50lbs in a month by the steroid monster in their ads!

they do more than that, its simply a marketing angle as some people need that. increased test is a good thing, and an effect of that is an increase of aggression, now to a normal person that just means feeling more alpha or more confidence, its placebo to start acting like an ass and blame a supplement for it. prohormones will put mass onto your body, if you do it moderation, and smartly the effects will stay for a while and the sides will be minimal. unfortunately most people do not follow this.

Perhaps it is all placebo affect that generates the results that lead to gains for some. I've been lifting over 17 years, sometimes religiously and sometimes injuries and/or life step in the way. I think many of these products that you are throwing under the bus have some science behind them (at least in theory)... others are useless and do nothing. I disagree with your blanket condemnation of all of them. I have personally seen the difference some can make. Declining test production sucks, and, as we age, if I can find something to offset this that is legally, I'm all for it. Even if its a small edge, as long as the risks are reasonable and the research done, I don't see the harm.

The problem I have with your posts Geneticssuck is that you seem to disrespect the community as a whole, lumping everying into a category of being an uninformed teenager, suggesting that someone who is in there 20s is somehow incapable of differentiating a good product from a bad or regulating their emotional state. I respectfully disagree with these statements. There are better ways of educating people. Anyway, just my .02

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they do a BIT more than just that. Hell, ActivaTe Xtreme did a lot more for me than just that.


My suggestion to the O/P is ActivaTe Xtreme. I had increased pumps, vascularity, libido, and strength. Possibly my favorite non-staple product.

Can someone explain "Active XTreme/X-Factor"? Who makes it? How to take it, etc.

Also what about JW/BAM. What's the deal with this stuff? I took and and thought it was ok, but probably just noticed a difference from working out harder.
