    Overhand and Underhand Tricep Cable Pushdown

    Apologies for ANOTHER vs. thread but I couldn`t find anything using search. Is there a difference as to what muscles are targeted for cable pushdowns depending on an overhand or underhand grip?

    what i like to do with the cable pulldowns are tri-sets with the overhand, underhand, and then a neutral grip with the two ropes, it hits all 3 of the tricep heads

    yes there is a difference but the only way to find it out is to do it yourself.

    some people feel exercises in other areas. (CGBP, pullovers...)

    try attaching 2 single grip metal handles to a tricep pushdown and hold each one with palms facing up (knuckles together)

    exactly. the first part (pulling it from the top) is awkward but once you get it into position it will make sense. i've never seen a picture of these done so i cant link you, but i think you get the idea.

    kinda like crossbody extensions but instead of one arm at a time, it's both together.

    they'll come up a little bit at the top of the movement if you let them. you'll see when you try.
