Bammy's -Power Jolt- Log
I recieved my bottle Omega Sports' Power Jolt today, but not until after my workout. Thanks for picking me as a tester, Matt. I have been off of all stimulants for the last month, and I can't wait to start getting chemically psyched up again! I'll be commenting on energy, focus, drive, and mind-body connection. The bottle says Power Jolt gives you a clean, non-jittery energy, so I will also see how that goes.
My Stats:
Age: 21
Weight: 169
Height: 6 ft.
BF: 6.5% (as of 3/15/05. Haven't been able to test since then, may be slightly higher now like 7.5%)
Current Supplements:- ON's 100% whey
- Dymatize Elite whey
- Syntrax Matrix 5.0
- Dextrose
- Centrum Performance Multi Vitamin
- Vitamin C 500mg
- Cod Liver Oil
- Citruline Malate
Other pre-workout energizers I have used:- Throttle 1400X
- Cardio Breeze
- Neurostim + C
- Redline Liquid
- Redzone Caps
Current lifts:
DL – 370 x 6
Db bench – 88s x 8
ATG squat – 215 x 5
Leg press – 640 x 8
Does anyone want me to post up the weights I used for each workout? It takes longer (this is the most busy part of the semester) but if anyone thinks it is relevant I will.

I'm bulking. Diet is around 3000-3500 cal/day, ave 250P/350C/60F. I don't keep track, that is a rough estimate.
Also, I eat very clean, LOTS of fiber, good fats, and no hydrogenated oils ever. Keeps me pretty lean while bulking.
Focus on stuff like:
oats, tuna, chicken, steak, pb, almonds, milk

I liked it a lot for focus and it increased my mind-muscle connection. There were also days when I kept that focus and mental edge for long after my workout, which helped with studying and writing papers.
I did a log on it a while back, check it out:

Day 1:
Pre workout: 2 caps (1/2 serving), 20 min. before workout
Workout - Delts & Traps & Abs
bb press:
10 x 125
10 x 125
10 x 125
10 x 125
10 x 125
5 x 165
cable rear laterals:
10 x 47.5
9 x 47.5
8 x 47.5
lying laterals (in front of thigh): (hurt RC)
8 x 28
cable laterals (behind back):
3 x 9 x 35
Behind back bb shrug
5 x 8 x 295
db press drop set:
53 x 8
43 x 7
33 x 6
28 x 8
hyper bench oblique crunch:
2 x 15 (per side)
swiss ball crunch:
2 x 15
Started with 1/2 dose to see how I respond, and since I have been stim free for so long. Had moderate energy but nothing too exciting. I will try 3 tomorrow, then the full 4 caps next. Normally, I am pretty responsive to this type of stuff.
Rotator cuff was painful this morning I guess from sleeping on it. Thats why I decided to go light on the bb press and do more reps and sets. A couple of the other exercises hurt too, but it should be better soon.

yeah, go ahead and try the full dose. Remember, this will not be a cray insane boast of energy like Amp, but it will give a very nice, clean intense focus. Good luck.

Day 2:
Pre workout: 4 caps (full serving) 20 min. before workout
Workout - Legs
warmup - few minutes of running
ATG squat:
8 x 165
8 x 195
8 x 215
4 x 225
Leg Press:
10 x 640
10 x 640
14 x 640
seated leg curl:
3 x 10 x 280
SLDL: (for old times sake)
15 x 135
45 degree calf press:
3 x 20 x 180
SS w/
seated calf press:
3 x 20 x 180
Well, well. I definitely felt this stuff today. It is not a feeling of extreme energy, just like Matpal said. I felt a strong "drive" like I was able to use my mind to push my body harder than ussual. Its kind of hard to describe, but with the last 2 sets of squats, on the ascent, I just felt like I was mentally powering the weight up. As if I was better able to switch something on in my mind that made me push harder when my body felt spent. Very cool. I had no idea I was gonna hit 8 reps with 215, so I just went for 225.
No jitters, anxiety, or speedy heart beat. I think its the rhodiola that smooths this out.

Day 3:
Pre workout: 4 caps 15 min. before workout
Workout - chest & tris
db press:
8 x 65
7 x 90
6 x 90
incline db press:
9 x 65
10 x 65
11 x 65
cable fly chest level: (supinated grip to take front delts out)
3 x 15 x 50
CGBP:
3 x 10 x 155
rope press out, lunge stance:
3 x 10 x 220
1 arm cable pressdown: (pronated, then switching to supinated)
8,4 x 80
8,4 x 80
10,4 x 80
overhead cable extension:
2 x 7 x 70
bench dips
42
Used the school gym, so the cable weights are way off. I did press the 90, which was awesome, but the damn db are fat and coated in this thick rubber **** so I couldn't bring them close together at the top to get a good contraction. The 90s are as huge as 150s are at anormal gym. I only use that gym when I'm in a rush and can't drive out between classes.
I felt an intense drive again that really seems to help when putting up heavy weights. There is a mental connection I'm feeling that is not ussually there. More sweating too.

Day 4:
Pre workout: 4 caps 15 min. before workout
Workout - back & bis
Deadlift:
8 x 300
8 x 350
8 x 370
hammer grip chins:
3 x 10
1 arm pulldown:
3 x 9 x 105
incline db curls:
14 x 38
8 x 38
hammer curls:
3 x 16 x 48
rev. bb curls:
7 x 75
7 x 75 (drop)
5 x 55
7 x 35
(no rest period)
bb curls:
10 x 45
Had to do a quick workout with shorter rest periods b/c Wednesdays I have chem lab to go to. DLs felt very good, I added 2 reps to 370 since last back day. Also added some good weight to the 1 arm pulldowns. When I do these I pull my elbow down to the side of my body, not in front. It is a great way to focus on the front and lower part of the lats and really squeeze them. I would have loved to lift much longer, feeling motivated, but had to go.
So far the energy is very clean. If you've tried liquid redline, it is the opposite of that.

Hey bro ever notice not too many ppl are interested in pre workout stimulants compared to creatine, weight loss, ppl forget that if you can perform 100% in the weight room or any PA that supplements arent that helpful. Just a thought

True, but do you mean if you can't perform 100% in the weight room or any PA that supplements arent that helpful?

well imean you will see the most out of training and supplements going 100% and preworkout stimulants can help with that

Ive noticed the same thing...the name of the product did not pan out as I planned with the seruos kick in the pants, but it does give you an awesome laser-like focus. I downed mine today with some choline and piracetam and worked like a mule for hours with a super nice, clean supply of energy.

Yes the focus is the best I have ever had. Great for going heavy and also for working on form. I like this feeling much better for lifting than a hyper/racing feeling. There is such a thing as too much stimulation. I have yet to try Power Jolt before cardio.
About the choline, how come you didn't include that in the formula? I've heard when you take ALCAR, its good to also take choline, because ALCAR can deplete the body's choline supplies. Would it be good to add some choline every once in a while if I'm taking Power Jolt every day?

Well, because adding the choline would make the dosage in the 8 cap range, and I really wanted people to stack this with Thunder, and I do not see most people wanting to take 18 caps at once.
To be honest, I have not heard that about ALCAR, but I suppose it could be possible. Choline is so cheap anyway, it would be a good idea to include it if you can IMO.

You sure you're not thinking of piracetam? Never heard of having to take choline w/ ALCAR?

Trying this makes me want to try Omega's CET some time. I gained so well off of Ether, so I want to see if I could do the same off of CET. I was bascially stuck hovering between 160 and 162 since November and Ether started me growing again, now I'm at 170, but I seem to have tapered off.

Day 6:
Pre workout: 4 caps (full serving) 20 min. before workout
Workout - Legs
warmup - few minutes of running
ATG squat:
8 x 175
8 x 205
8 x 225
Leg Press:
8 x 650
8 x 650
12 x 650
seated leg curl:
3 x 9 x 285
SLDL:
18 x 145
seated calf press:
3 x 22 x 180
1 leg stading calf press:
2 x 8 x 20
1 leg 45 degree calf press:
7 x 70
9 x 50
45 degree calf press:
2 x 30 x 50 (10 top, 10 bottom, 10 full)
My ambition was so high today! I added 4 reps onto my squats w/ 225. I definitely should have stopped at 7, but for once I was acctually enjoying it and didn't want to stop. I was pausing at the top of each rep for a few seconds to regain a little strength. On the 8th rep, I ended up rounding by back, which felt bad and looked bad. My back is the limiting factor when I squat not my quads, I guess thats why my leg press is so high but my squats are not. I also did a lot of extra calf stuff today because like I said, I just felt extra motivated.
Power Jolt enhances my mood, and it seems like more I lift the better I feel.

Stuff like that can be frustrating. Thats kind of what happened with NOS Ether when Chuck sent it out. He had to send it again, and he had to pay the shipping twice.

Ya no kidding the US Postal Service is messed up they would give me no answers I had to practically bag the lady to look up the tracking number to see where it was at because she was sure it would be at my house soon. Then she looked it up and found out it got sent back to Missouri. Pathetic do you know what would of went wrong?

I don't know, maybe the address is off. For me, the apt # was off by one #, so instead of putting it in the box where all the other mail with my name on it was going, they just sent it back. Hope you get it eventually.

I think this is mostly due to the rhodia, that is great stuff. The formula is pretty similar to NEurostim+C (subtract choline and add rhodiola), but it gives me a different feeling and I think that is why.
