    Lat Pulldowns on a crossover?

Question for ya'll. I am looking at purchasing a cable system of some kind for my home gym. Right now the most appealing is the crossover machine. I will have a high and low pulley. My question is -- has anyone actually taken the bar from a lat machine and accomplished lat pulldowns on a crossover machine? It would seem like you could, and I am broke, and do not want to purchase more cable machines down the road. The Crossover machine would accomplish most other cable excercises that I can think of.

    Thanks!

Yes you could do it but you would need something to sit on unless you are going to do them on your knees which also works well when pulling behind the neck. The only bad thing is that it only goes up to 150 pounds.
