    Top Ramen!

One of my favorite foods is top ramen--the Maruchan, not that Nissin garbage. I'm curious if there is any known nutritional benefit to eating the stuff and/or if it is a good pre- or post-workout food?

Ok- what exactly do you mean by ramen... If you mean traditional japanese noodles (buckwheat soba type noodles) then they are ok (not the best, but ok) and you might be able to get away with them.

If you are talking about the garbage western-style "ramen" noodles that are wheat flour then you are better off chewing your own foot off...

Personally, the only noodles I touch are shirataki noodles (they are made from a japanese yam root and are 100% fibre - so, essenitally, they are zero carb foods).

I like to get my actual carbs from real sources - grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables and skim dairy.
