you are worried it could be a test.
maybe it is?
maybe they will notice it, which is more likely
dont spend money like you have double the paycheck. wait a day or a few and honestly i would say something and try to get props for honesty rather than fired for letting it slide.
its hard to convince people you didnt check your finances at ALL. or you could say you didnt notice because you get paper statements and dont bank online

they'll figure it out then take it out of your account.. this has happened at my company too.
i thought it was strange that they were able to just deduct the money they put in from my account. it seems like that would be a security breach??
whatever. i wouldn't spend it.

funny you mention this, there is an article right now on msn having to do with this very topic. If they notice right away they will most likely just take it back electronically. I would just pretend you didn't notice it, sit on it for at least a month, and then proceed from there.

Let me guess; I'm supposed to act suprised that you're telling us and not making any attempt to solve the issue, so I can submit it to a Bodybuilding forum where it will join the ranks of the other "SOMETHING CATOSTROPHIC HAPPENED SO I CAME TO TELL YOU GUYS ON BODYBUILDING MISC SECTION FIRST INSTEAD OF ATTEMPTING TO DEFUSE THE HOSTILE SITUATION" quotes that are grossly abundant, similar, and overrated. And despite a new one is submitted each hour and only the location of the problem is altered, loyal readers firmly believe it is a unique and hilarious quotation, pledging support in the form of unneccesary replies and 5-star thrads.

Don't spend it. At least not yet. A couple of days before your next pay go up to your boss and ask if they've paid early because you seem to have some extra cash in your account. He probably won't have any real answer for you if he doesn't handle the paychecks. If he follows through and finds it out then whatever give it back, if he doesn't then spend it.
I probably wouldn't take my advice but hey at least he won't be able to break your balls about it if they find out later and accuse you of not saying anything

They will figure it out. Might as well tell them of the indescretion now so it's changed promptly (before you spend money you don't have and didn't earn).

Doesn't matter, it doesn't work like that. If they catch it, they WILL take it back.
Even if he spends it, they can and will automatically (electronically even) withdraw it - even if he goes into a negative balance.
Lay low for a few months is my advice, then take your chance and spend it if you want.

I thought the same thing, it's their mistake. But it wasn't your money, so you have no right to spend it. A guy I work with got a check in the mail from a bank for 140 bucks so he said hell yea and deposited it and spent it. About a month later the bank realized what they did and took it straight out of his account. It even bounced his checking account, luckily he had enough money in his savings to cover it.
Advise: Don't spend it!
