I will be starting keto on sunday for the first time. I'm carrying way too much fat on me, 26.5%! Should I keep the carbs down for longer than friday, which technically is suppose to be my carb up day? Or can I just jump in to carbing up even though I'm new to the transition? A couple of other questions since I'm new to this:
1. What kind of ground beef do you all buy? Since it's more of a fat intake, is it safe to go for 85/15? Same question for the chicken, is the dark meat a better choice considering the more fat to protein ratio than a leaner cut?
2. I have htn, anyone outthere with hypertension that has benefited from this diet?
