    high rep or low rep

I have seen many different responses for working out with high rep and low rep.

Some ppl suggest just training low rep/high weight 3 times a week, while other have said high rep/low weight for twice a week, and then rep/high weight right before carbup.

Who is right? and what should be done?

lol I thought this thread was going to be about rep power.

I think it's a personal preference on which way to do it. I do the 2nd one.

Actually if you are going to go with a split like that, go with low rep/high weight the first 2 days, then use a weight you can his about 15 on for the depletion. Use supersets, that'll get ya good....

Personally, I have just continued with my heavy, low-rep MAX-OT sets and have been pleased. I'm still able to increase my weights, though not everyweek as before CKD.

Wouldnt it be better to do highrep/low weight before...and then the workout before carbup be a high weight/low rep workout to maximize gains with the upcoming carbup?

Logically that makes sense, but if the diet is done right, at the end of the week you should have little to no energy. It would be very hard to lift heavy weights to your potential at a nearly depleted state.

And just to confuse things, I like to do drop sets, where you do both. High weight, low rep to start, dropping down to low weight, high rep until you are shattered.

same here. On keto, I stuck to 4 sets 6-8 reps, and even noticed some strength increases. Stay with what works for you.

Try everything. It is probably best over the year to cycle your workouts.
