I have to say right now that losing 70+ lbs has been my most difficult challenge to date.
Everything else is just life.....and I take it as it comes. Never drank much or smoked anything. I just get up every day and take it for the blessing that it is and try to live it to the fullest. Life is short....so whatever you are or want to be, do it well and success is bound to follow.

I totally agree. Nothing has taken even close to the researching, planning and hard work that it took me to go from like 40% bodyfat to single digits. Also I've hopefully helped others one way or another do the same.
This thread does make me want to accomplish something huge though.History: Mar, 2001: 135lbs @ ~14% | Nov, 2004: 245lbs @ ~40% | Dec, 2006: 168lbs @ 5.5%ish | Nov, 2008: 177lbs @ 5.5%ish | Dec, 2016: 179lbs

Greatest achievement: I have two that are on a par, really.
One is going from 236 pounds, 39.4% bodyfat to where I am now, 148 and approx 19% bodyfat through diet and exercise.
The other is coming through an abusive marriage alive and with my kids intact. I survived mental abuse and rape, and I'm perfectly happy to say that not only am I a survivor, but that I haven't let it rule my life. I'm confronted myself with my own memories, sorted my head out and got back on track - that would have seemed impossible just four years ago, when I did actually contemplate suicide for a while because I couldn't get myself over it.
But...it worked, I got through it, and that old chestnut about "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is absolutely correct.
I'm so very different now to the person I used to be, and in a way, she's dead and buried, as strange as that sounds.
Goal: By mid-2010, squat 350 pounds ATG. Deadlift and bench I'm not that worried about, but I want that squat.Viking to the core.
Fark yew.

Taking up weights and joining this site
Lifting and this site has changed me in too many ways to count. I have always been skinny and weak and bb has made me stronger in mind and body. I was addicted to a game called runescape cared enough to change myself before it was too late. I am still in high school and am enjoying life! BB has helped get me stronger and has given me a passion. It helped me realize on what life is truly about. Finding something you love to do and and to always pursue it. I thank this site for helping me change my life! All those pictures of people changing their lives for the better really inspired me, thanks!

My greatest acheivement?
I had sunk to the lowest depths of depression and my life was a mess. Was like that from the age of 19. At one point I was incredibly close to dropping out of college. I worked odd jobs and thought things were looking up, only to fall back into an even deeper hole. My friends, family - hell even I myself hated me.
Then I just continued working harder at what I had to do. I gave up on friends, the misc, guitar, lifting and worked my ass off to get where I am today.
Thing is with what I was obsessed with till now didn't help me get anywhere in life. A 6 pack doesn't equal hapiness, nor success. It can be a personal goal for some but not a life goal. Being able to shred isn't gonna land you a job or get you through college. It was a matter of focussing on the right priorites.
And even though things are going good now - its not good enough. The Next day is the day where I focus on achiveing what I couldn't acheive today.
My only advice is work hard towards something that will get you somewhere and make you someone. I'm not trying to sound like your grandparents preaching about what I could've done. I've been at the lowest point in my life and using that as motivation to get higher than what I could previously acheive is my greatest acheivement to date.

It's not hard to pick, even though in the past 2 years I literally turned my life around completely from being a penniless fat non-working lazy loser to a man who owns a home, runs a successful business, and has lost 82 pounds since February. 2 years ago nearly to the date to be precise, I remember starting my business in September.
But all those accomplishments wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't did one simple thing - and that is to change my attitude and let go of my ego. All my life, my ego held me down. I believed I was entitled to everything and wanted to do nothing to get it. I got angry at everyone whether they were trying to help or being a jerk. I stood on pride at all times even though there was nothing to be proud of, and when that point was proved I just sulked in anger. One day though, I made a conscience decision to change. I did it of my own choice entirely. I no longer allowed anything to bother me, nor would I ever again allow myself to feel superior or inferior to any one or any thing. I was as everything else was in the universe, existing as one. From that point after that 'awakening', it only took me about 3 months to get my life together, start my business, and get my **** in gear.
If anyone is familiar with the writings of Paramahansa Yogananda, then you probably can understand better exactly how I was able to turn my life around so completely. That's somewhat of a religious/spiritual topic, so I'll just stop right there, as I know some people aren't comfortable discussing that kind of stuff.

Bench pressing 235lbs, staying at 5.5% body fat, and just my overall body change while having malaria 3 times in the three years since I've started bodybuilding (not to mention having a boil in each of my eyes too). See my bodyspace for details.

-Youngest finisher (age 15) in marathon with a field of 1100 people. I finished in 4:24. Trained my butt off for this thing (5 months). I ran no matter what the weather was doing or how I was feeling. I said I was going to do it and I realized I had to get it done. I ran 9 miles when it was -10 below in the middle of nowhere and got minor frostbite on my hands. I was shivering from the strong headwind and had to push through to try to reach a bar on the outer edges of town. Luckily, I made it. I also ran through a few snowstorms.
-3.8 GPA
-Never touched alcohol, drugs, etc.
-200 pound bench press
-310 pound deadlift
-300 pound squat
Up next, I'll run a 50 ultramarathon next fall. In 2009 I'm considering running the San Juan Solstice 50 which has over 12,000 feet of elevation gain and over 12 river crossings with altitudes ranging from 8,600 feet to 13,000 feet. I hope to shatter those records as the youngest finisher as well.

Pretty Easy for Me:
1) Losing weight (375 lbs, 44% BF to 200, 12.5% currently) while actually gaining some muscle in the process.
2) Starting my PhD program.
3) Learning to play drums well enough to make all-state champ 6x and all east coast groups 2x. And still getting to play sometimes.
4) Surviving my Mormon mission without too many scars. (At least that part of my life is gone )"You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They'll race behind you. They will stumble; they will fall. But, in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders." Jor-El
